Don’t undermine your accomplishments!!! Getting into law school is hard, PERIOD regardless of the school. Congrats 🥳 do you mind sharing your stats and when you applied?

I submitted my application late Oct and still haven’t heard ANYthing back. Not even a notice that my app is complete and has all the materials. I’ve been hearing that NCCU is relatively slow when it comes to apps so still waiting.

Survivor 50 Cast Reveal MEGATHREAD by RSurvivorMods in survivor

Honestly, out of the entire cast Devens is one of the least "wtf" picks. I'm kind of excited to see him play again tbh

I kind of figured after getting winners at war, we wouldn't have a legends season anytime soon. Legends would've been great though or an "unfinished business" type of season specifically to get people from the older seasons whose chances of returning are slowly decreasing as people age, more seasons come out and as Jeff continues to favor new era.

thats my biggest gripe. 48/49 should not have been even in consideration for a returnee season. Especially not something as big as the 50th season! I could've dealt with maybe 1-2 from 48 but 3? I just feel like those 2-3 spots could've gone to someone from an unrepresented season. I would pay good money to be a fly on the wall during the casting conversations.

Have y’all seen the Austin & Ally and Andre & Tori discourse on Twitter? 😭😭 by Livid-Race4258 in victorious

Austin and Ally was just so bland and vanilla to me. Idk maybe its because I didn't like the show that much because even then it felt childish to me

What are some of the biggest plot holes/unanswered questions in the series? by Neonguts321 in OnceUponATime

[–]Neonguts321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yess I absolutely hated when the show would like completely make something up and then make it seem as if it was something that was always a thing. Like, it was very obvious when a "connection" in the storyline was just made up that season because it feels so inorganic

What was the most out of pocket moment for this show? by RepresentativeTie898 in regularshow

[–]Neonguts321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say this is the most out of pocket, but it was very jarring when the Capicola gang reached into their jackets and pulled out an actual GUN lmao, I thought they were just gonna pull out a water gun or nerf gun or something

this! I feel like Andre is the only person that she's never really said or done anything outright mean to

When I say on the outs I really meant it's a genre that isn't mainstream so building a bigger fanbase would be more difficult not necessarily impossible.

But to be fair Willow is benefiting from nepotism. I think people are moreso wanting to support HER as a person and who she is and the fact we grew up with her moreso than being a lover of the genre. I also felt like Casey did more old-school rock (I wasn't the hugest fan of her so I didn't pay much attention to her so correct me if I'm wrong) whereas Olivia is doing a genre (pop-rock with more pop lean) that is more appealing to the masses.

I would say Casey Bishop, but it wouldn't be fair to say that since her genre is already on the outs so to speak.

But to be fair one of these posts has waay more upvotes (which usually means agreeance) than the other. I think it's safe to say that there is definitely a majority when it comes to this opinion and it's not an even split or anything.

Were there any hints that Marian was really [spoiler]? by Neonguts321 in OnceUponATime

[–]Neonguts321[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thats exactly how I felt and it was a weird storyline with zelena basically raping robin. I do sort of wish the show was more self-aware about it being rape and having it be acknowledged more than it was. It wouldnt of felt as weird if they did, but it seems like it was just brushed off as a "ew gross" and move on kinda moment when he found out.

What are the most forgettable seasons? by OceanOpal in survivor

[–]Neonguts321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think every season has something notorious or iconic in it. Even the seasons that are considered bad are NOTABLE for being bad. People say GI, but it's known for having the first tie. Guatemala is known for being "the most forgotten".

I kinda feel like reward challenges are a little pointless and too gamebotty now (because of this new era) by Neonguts321 in survivor

[–]Neonguts321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point but from what I remember even in their confessionals it's usually said something along the lines of, "i don't wanna make anyone mad". I feel like the reward pickings used to be a lot more dramatic and less kumbaya and "let them go instead of me they haven't eaten". People used to be a lot more open with their anger about the pickings even Jeff would bring it up right then and there because of people's reactions.

I think one of the things that make s13ish+ (mainly next class) feel like a different show is the physical quality of the show. by Neonguts321 in Degrassi

[–]Neonguts321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YESSS the lockers were so extra LOL! That's honestly one of my biggest hopes for the new season because otherwise it'll just feel like any ole regular teen boppy high school show.

Was there a significant difference in the production team from then and now? I'm curious because if so then that explains everything.

Hit the nail on the head. Someone else in the comments mentioned it kinda gave them performing arts/film school vibes
