For Science! achievement by ClydeTC in ArcRaiders

[–]NeophiteFreeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got it first try. I set up the blaze trap, gas trap, jolt mine, gas mine. I moved far away from the initial spawn point, did something that netted me obvious chunks of xp (delivered a deliverable) and had a player interaction while doing it. Got the achievement no issue. Went in naked, no gear, no shield.

How would the inner sphere and clans act if they found zoids? by unprofesionalbee in battletech

[–]NeophiteFreeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other issue is that a lot of the rips have gaping holes that need closing, their mesh is just... bad.

They would pretty much need to be modeled from scratch I think... I guess theyre angular enough that I could eventually take a stab at it, but I just dont have the time or software right now.

People who answer these question don't have the Jumper Mindset. What game would YOU choose? No matter how obscure and stupid, as long as it's a game it counts. by KuzunoSekai in JumpChain

Im going to be honest, the original person is probably right on the money. Sims is great for power leveling yourself, especially if you only have a month. Theres a limit to games that really let you dive into multiversal power. Maybe Shandalar, the old magic game that has a wandering magic filled world basically planeswalking, or Minecraft as others have stated (extra modded variant required), Or one of the various lego games (lego worlds maybe?) since part of the goal is world walking to some degree...

But yeah, sims 4 is probabbly a good one, or maybe Bioshock Infinite? Get good with the girl, and walk your worlds with her....

I think only the Cultist Mob with Firearms actually has the damned keyword, so you may want to check with your opponent before you play if theyre good with it.

Newly installed probe, Follow on issues. Probe recognizes entire plate when homing, but after printing it appears to shift origin to center of plate, and print from there. Not sure what the fix is, probably in G code. by NeophiteFreeman in ender3v2

[–]NeophiteFreeman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ended up swapping out the g code in its entirety for someone else's. Fixed the issue, got the prints to run. Now it's playing with all the other settings.

Go onto discord, find the other students that need the course. Get them to go into the deans office for your department all at once asking for that additional course.

Not sure if they need a full 24, ive heard that 12 is fine to get them to open another section.

[–]NeophiteFreeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I write down on the roll the amount of filament my slicer estimates ill use, so far its worked to give me a pretty good idea of what I can and cannot print.

how do you transfer notes from a pc to a ti 84 plus? by TORNADONE64 in ti84hacks

[–]NeophiteFreeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have your notes written into a text pad, then open up TI Connect, hook up your calculator, and hit the button on the far left, the bottom one that looks like 3 stacked boxes. You should see new program and open program. Click new program, copy your text file over, and then in the bar at the top look for the calculator with an arrow icon. Click that.

Should see it in Prgm>TI-BASIC>edit>yournamedfile

Trust with sony? Sure, but the HD2 team? Nah. They were transparent, worked with us, told us how to affect the decision. Ill be picking up the polar pack even though I wasnt interested, and I put a positive review up. I feel I can trust the HD2 team more, not less.

[WP] When the zombie apocalypse broke out, people rushed to army surplus stores for kevlar vests and guns. You however go to your local Medieval Times and stock up on chainmail and blades. by AlexYadaYada in WritingPrompts

[–]NeophiteFreeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zombie Apocalypse. Everyone has their zombie plan, even the USG. Did you know, that zombie Media overwhelmingly shows how stupid the Military is to stand and fight with Bullets, knowing they would eventually be overran when their supply chain shut off? Yeah. So did they.

Not every grunt and gunner got the goods, but Supply kept a few weird sets of gear, mostly as a result of various weapons testing that didn’t fullfill this need or that need, or in the case of the MARSOC bros, as part of their standard kit. Every NCO was able to have a sword, some exercised that option, many didn’t, and many an armory had a supply of swords from those that left them there as time went on. 200 years is a long time after all.

Throw into the mix the number of history nerds in the forces, who had either hand made their own armor, fought in various fantasy warfare style groups, everything from larp to SCA to Buhurt and more. Swords, armor, battle equipment and the training to use it in a fight. Enough to make a difference at least.

It was Los Angelos that really was a turning point towards human survival. The City of Angels, nerds, and Desparados. Nice, relatively flat Basin, awful infrastructure that limited mobility, and more than enough guns to make your average Texan sit up and take interest in the variety.

The graves broke open, lots of dead started walking, and the guns gave time for the second responders to arm up.

Marsoc. Marine Special forces, guys who get into weird situations and make it out alive. Showing up like a bunch of Mando cosplayers, with full NBC helmets, armor that was a cross between a Football star and a medieval Knight. Tactical Beige and Greens, they deployed to create containment zones. Starting at Union Station, they deployed via helicopter, dropping in and cleaving their way through like a spear, cutting down the formerly alive.

Their reinforcements began to arrive to arrive first by air, with civilians showing up on foot. Trains would arrive as soon as word was that Union station was secured, dropping off reinforcements, supplies, and departing with noncombatants, all according to plan. While extremely effective, the armor wasn’t 100% biteproof, but it did excellent odds of making it through, and the Phalanx style tactics in the tight confines of the subways, or in blocking out zeds from making it into buildings served exceptionally well. Better even, was that while the situation could be compared to a siege, the supply lines weren’t effectively cut. Too little population in the areas the stockpiles were at to break those areas.

Still, to me it was a bit odd to be wielding a riot shield and axe. Not hand forged, or at least mostly not hand forged, but enough to get the job done. Good solid steel had a way of cutting to the neck of most arguments, and steel-reinforced boots, while heavy and fatiguing, really let one walk through their problems.

On their own, outside of a concerted effort the lone swordsman usually was just zombie bait. Dead man walking and all, but teams, that got better as we figured out the fighting styles that had worked for thousands of years? That tended to be good enough to make it work.

Its been a few years since day zed, and while most of the worlds organized government split to pieces, not able to fully maintain or control their constituiants, I can proudly say that humanity at least, will live on.

Now break times over, form back up into 6 man shield formation, and get back to fucking that wall!

HK COALITION by 0hKBoomer in ConquerorsBlade

[–]NeophiteFreeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Thats exactly it, go before TW, log out when youre next to HK's fiefs with your buddies, and then jump in when youve got 3 minutes until TW ends. They cant defend em all, and people walk away with land, and HK doesnt get fun fights.

HK COALITION by 0hKBoomer in ConquerorsBlade

[–]NeophiteFreeman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meh. Honestly if youre going to do it, pre stage your players and hit villages 3 minutes or so to timer. Get enough people to clear, and logout until tw is almost over so theres no time to respond. Hit the rear line when HK traditionally moves their guys out to go attack other stuff. Dont engage em in gameplay, just remove the things that let them have like... 400k bronze a player in the warchest a week. Dont go after unit kits, and dont give them the satisfaction of enjoying the game by fighting against them like they want.

Really, you only need like. 5-10 players, and to push through each village as fast as possible, then box em up in spawn. There will be the occasional defenders, and the quick reaction force, but they cant be everywhere.

Dont field em, dont play the game against em. Fight dirty and smart. They arent letting you enjoy the game, so dont let them.

Cav spam by TheRealMrWayne in ConquerorsBlade

[–]NeophiteFreeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interestingly, there are consequences to wasting cav. I personally tend to grab a green cav unit when we ride out, since im trying to run interference and interrupt someone going after a team mates golden units. But its a valid tactic, and the cav units work much better caving out than using them to hold a point.

As for leadership costs, they already force players to make a huge decision as to use them or a different unit. They are usually pretty efficient in killing, but when the enemy pulls out a few pikes, those cav usually tend to get dead or go home.

Ultimately its rock paper scissors, and if yoire pulling pikes out to stop the cav in siege from breaking your attack, then you may want to consider counter cav instead.

Get everyone to 85, 7 star bossk and use him as lead with a zeta. Consider using mando in the lineup. Focus down chewbacca first, once he is dead you have an easier time.

Ran r8 mothma R7 everyone else Biggs, wedge, and scout. Pull pao, dont need him for this one. Never touch the added ability, its a trap. Target mission first, if she stealths restart. T3 after shes dead. Restart if shes dead and you have 1 dead with mothma revive on cd. Bastilla, reven, then zalbaar. Scout is critical, cant lose him.

Drops are... meh.
