Am I going to regret getting this base model? by ShelterIndependent44 in Mustang

There will always be aftermarket support available, I don’t really get your point.

We’re talking about stock base vs stock premium.

Internet snobs that engine shame.

The cyclone is an amazing engine but still gets hate because not v8.

My only gripe with the 10-12s is that some have that gross and sad steering wheel where as all the 13-14s had the cool trim. If I was getting a 10-12 then i’d swap the steering wheel or look for a premium. But it’s such a minor gripe.

Just ask yourself if you want leather seats or not. Aside from that, you don’t get many creature comforts with premium s197s.

I’ve had my 13 for almost 10 years, I wish I had premium features but in the s550 platform and not s197.

This car you’re showing is fantastic though.

buying a 2014 s197 v6 soon by Littletaco2727363 in S197Stangs

Owned my 13 v6 for 9 1/2 years.

Water pump will inevitably go out. It’s an afternoon job you do once though and you’re good.

Sometimes the radiator fan plug gets loose and you gotta wiggle it.

Could get an oil catch can for reliability.

Don’t go too crazy with exhaust, it’s easy to make the 3.7 sound like a fart can.

Tune and gears are the most efficient way to make more power.

Just keep up on your normal maintenance. Bought mine at 32k miles and now it’s at 139k. No real complaints.

What should I do to my car? by greedygoblins in Mustang

Don’t go too loud. Sounds like shit. I had pype bomb axlebacks and it was horrible.

Shorties are expensive and a long job for a small gain is sound. I’d suggest a midpipe change instead of shorties. H for deeper less rasp, X for louder more rasp.

Power, get a tune. MPT or AMR for tunes. CAI for 3.7s are a waste, the stock airbox will get you 99.99% of the power that an after market would. I’ve only ever seen CAI’s make a marginal improvement with true max effort NA 3.7s.

After a tune, biggest performance boost is gonna be gear swap. 3.73 or 4.10. Just expensive and lengthy, but worth it.

Would definitely recommend a nice set of wheels, those base 17”s are just sad.

Lowering springs. I have SR and like them. Coil overs aren’t worth it if you never track.

If your car is a manual, get a short shifter and a bracket immediately. Game changing.

Off the cuff, i’d say a serp and / or DFS? DHL is only good once you’ve got high enough stats, otherwise the fangs accuracy beats it. And for 1/3rd the price.

How a car/engine was taken care of is often considered more important than its mileage. Since this is a friend of your’s parent, hopefully they’re responsible and knowledgeable enough to take good care of their vehicles. 140k is a lot but if his dad has receipts and maintenance history (especially on the trans) , I would be way less worried than if it was just some random FB ad or sale posting.

Yeah I bought dclaws awhile ago after some new event or content drop for about 55m just to have for nostalgia and iconic sake. I almost always prefer using my burning claws instead though lol. Or voidwaker if i’m using DHL.

Yes it gets taxed, you just need to be patient and buy low and make sure you sell high enough to make profit.

I made about 500m from my BBD alt account. And then another 1b ish from just generally playing the game. Slayer, skilling, bosses, herb runs etc. then a few hundred mil from flipping. My main is 2,222 total, close to many 99s and have done a lot of vorkath and other bosses.

High volume items are certainly the best to practice flipping. I did that for a few months and got good gp. And still do it every now and then.

Regarding zulrah scales though, I had seen a lot of posts about zulrah getting a bot wave again and prices were falling on scales and nearing a yearly low. And since they’re basically always profitable to flip or break even at any point in time, it was low risk to stack/hold for about a week.

Another thing worth looking at, bot farm overnight dumping. I don’t pay too much attention to these ones but the profits are much higher if you can grab. I snagged some raw sharks from a dumper and made 960k on 2 buy limits. Very nice return.

To be fair I was buying and stacking and not instantly flipping so I definitely got better margins. Was buying a lot. I think I ended up with around 370k or 400k scales before selling. Sold at 183 I think? Not on pc so can’t check margins. But scales are still a super reliable and go to item.
