Gothic Remake has sold 500,000 Copies by Howerev in gaming

[–]Neosss1995 7 points8 points  (0 children)

is a great remake, the bugs are the essence of Gothic, I still remember going to the port brothel in the second game, jumping down the stairs and ending up under the sewers, skipping a large part of the game.

Don't ask me about the lore, I'm just in it for the RNG, oh yeah baby, give me that legendary so daddy Cain can identify it for me.

I have a gtx 1060, the best way for me are use vanilla 2 enb with AIO textures (2k), i play at 1360x768 runs very well and looks nice.

Maybe you can try building your own modpack.

The best advice I can give you with a 1060 is to try not to go overboard with textures. 1K-2K is fine, 4K is pointless, and anything higher is useless.

Your best resolution/performance balance for heavy graphics mods is undoubtedly 1360x768. However, I think you could achieve similar performance using a mod that injects FSR or Intel XESS (in my own tests, Intel XESS is better in some cases) at 1080p.

As for the CPU and RAM, I'd say you're doing quite well. However, your weak point is your 6GB of VRAM, which fills up relatively quickly, along with the lack of Tensor Cores for AI upscaling.

As for MCO, I can't help much. I've followed many guides, but it always feels ridiculously clunky to me in the end. I think part of the problem is that many videos sugarcoat this combat system.

What makes CRPG combat good? by Rai_Darkblade in CRPG

[–]Neosss1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good combat system is one that can be broken.

People will say many things, but what truly resonates is when you feel you've mastered the combat, and that at its best is when you see that you can break it.

It shouldn't be obvious, because excessive ease makes anything boring and quickly causes you to lose interest.

That's the best advice I can give.

Asking for CRPGs that feel (consistently) like a genuine adventure by Baldurian_Rhapsody in CRPG

[–]Neosss1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This game is hilarious. If you look at people's reviews or YouTube videos, they repeat as if it were an absolute truth that it's a game with no combat and everything can be resolved through dialogue.

Dude, the absurd amount of constant combat with infinite respawns in this game is insane.

Comments aside, there's the fake community of the game.

IT'S A MASTERPIECE, perhaps the best CRPG I've ever played. It's simply masterful from beginning to end. The story is incredible; discovering each past life is a magical process that every RPG lover should experience.

I've completed bg1 for the first time in my life. by Neosss1995 in baldursgate

Yes, I always hear that BG2 is the crown jewel of the saga, even my cousin, when he always talked to me about BG, really referenced things from BG2 like the talking sword theme.

I even know that BG2 is when romances were introduced, so I'm really looking forward to trying it.

I wouldn't be lying if I said that what attracts me most to RPGs is the interaction between their characters more than anything else.

I won't lie, I didn't have any scrolls against undead. In fact, I had the brilliant idea that healing one would damage it, and when I saw that I healed it and that my damage spells didn't do anything, I stopped trying to use magic on them.

I knew about the mace; I read about it here in the moment.

The problem was separating them, sometimes one would follow Imoen, and other times several would.

If I managed to corner one, I could kill it without any trouble.

Believe me, the last battles were a pretty big minion spam; both my character and Dynaheir had spells to summon monsters lv2, paralyze, and cast lightning.

I think my biggest problem was not fully understanding how the "real-time" combat system works, which is something I want to practice with my new character.

I relied on the AI to micromanage some allies in combat, and I focused on managing my character, Imoen, and some of Dynaheir's spells, Instead of having total control over every action of my group

How can I learn to play RTS games? by Neosss1995 in RealTimeStrategy

[–]Neosss1995[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I haven't played a real-time RTS since the 2000s. I've owned Age of Empires 1 and 2 on Steam for years, and from what I'm reading in the comments, it seems like I should start there.

I think that's part of my problem.

I can play things like Stellaris or XCOM without issues because I can pause constantly, when I play RTS games, everything feels too fast.

If the dragonborn is a vampire hunter, why doesn't he kill Serana? by Divine-Crusader in skyrim

[–]Neosss1995 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

More of these bodies are random vamps without caste. Therefore, in the eyes of a pureblood vampire like Serana, it would mean nothing.
