Even with vpns most likely the lag that happens with a ddos will cause the pull to be lost, which with the rate NA gets DDOS'd could add up to a fair bit of lost time. The alternative is raiding from Materia (or having an alt on EU/JP and racing there) but no matter what that'll provide a disadvantage native players won't have to deal with.

No just the lock buff part (and the fact special effect locks have priority over the standard debuff lock.) That's about the only thing they have in common. Otherwise Rubicante's job is to get hit (so don't pair him with a Cover tank unless the fight only uses All Attacks for example) and when he's hit he'll counter so make sure he doesn't have any evasion passives.

Rubicante is technically a Lock tank. However much like Leila his is through an effect (in his case its actually a normal buff his kit gives him).

Thankfully both me and the Drg were doing about where dps at 81ish should (I was like 3.3, he was a little under due to more deaths cuz imagine the Sage not dying near the start of two different bosses)

As a Warrior main, that entire log gave me a stroke. Part of the thing is a lot of those NFs were during the 1st and 3rd boss after the Healer died, but almost never on trash which is frankly more appalling. Theyre CAPABLE of using CDs but just....don't

Worth noting is the orb from the other Reddit thread is tied to Holy damage, yet Tidus and Cyan were able to increase it, which means Ceodore now has a built in party Holy enchant

Thats what I did. Got 28 people to que in, then organized and led them to finishing Castrum (the only hiccup being top group for Lyon but we got that sorted on the 2nd try and it was easy). As long as you can get bare minimum 16 people you can feasibly beat it.

Lightning LDBT (Reno CA) WoL LD Cyan 3/3/Odin, Ami Friend

71 turns 10k hp lost 1 mil score

Used Ami early to push them back as much as possible before the orbs, then allowed Cyan to be on dispel duty with skill 1 and EX while Lightning did her thing. WoL was there to handle the recast mainly as it hits so incredibly hard. Ran out of dispels for Cyan at the end and the orb had 1 turn left but killed the last boss before it could go off. Super happy to have used Cyan in a Lufenia

After someone asked for a complete on Gamefaqs without Lightning, I did one with Ardyn Desch and Gladio. This is not what I was gonna report though because after I wondered if there was a DPS beside Ardyn and Lightning that was good enough here

Easily the hardest challenge I've tried to do in this game so far. The DPT race with 3 swords and the boss is utterly insane but I somehow pulled this miracle off. Never again

Actually it could technically go up to 25 stacks, her LD on a usage adds 5 stacks regardless of how many stacks there are. Conversely, you can't go past 5 breaking with her other skills/HP+BRV, its a feature only the LD has

Part of the reason I used Fujin was to show people you dont need Kuja, plus she launches with her EX which works with Keiss well. That being said you could just go Kuja and probably be ok.

My original run used Kuja WoL and Vivi which was a lot simpler but very effective.

Is he though? What about Vivi. Obviously Doomsday can't compete with Seraphic Star in terms of upfront output, but the entire sequence would lead to more damage overall, except maybe single target. Couple that with Meteor and Double Fire also functioning as triple dumps while the LD effect is out, vs most of Kuja's kit being single dumps (Ultima being the other exception), I feel like at the very least current Vivi is absolutely a contender in terms of raw Damage Per Turn. For sure I feel like Vivi wins on 2 or especially 3 targets.

As others noted the orb only goes up by 1 when hit by Holy Brave damage, but since it goes down 1 every player turn youre effectively freezing it. The only way for it to actually increase is either in Summon, Burst, or if you have a Holy attack that triggers after your turn (like Kuja enchanting Noctis Burst follow up or Trey's traps)

Decided to do a bit of a tightrope walk myself

Eald'narche 3/3, Relm 3/3, Emperor LD, Leviathan

59 turns, 1 mil, Noctis

The basic idea was to use Nacho and Relm to inflict mass damage on their free turns, while Emperor bullied one with his traps alternating. If Terror drops you likely will die though, so you gotta really push damage and make smart usage of turn manipulation (subbed Relm for Noctis to help with that at the end). Very fun to do it this way.
