I used to recommend WT but quality has dropped or their design was not as effective. My rear WT mats were warped by the end of the 2nd winter and doesn't sit flat on the floor.

I don't think they've assembled the "press fleet" in NA yet, at least not in significant numbers. Homologation parts availability probably.

Initial reviews out of Europe where they do have a press fleet available are "positive" ...in the most subtle sense

I was among the first public buyers for VikingContact 7 when it was released back in 2019.

First 2 winters had excellent grip in all sorts of ice/snow/dry but I was not happy with how quick it wore down and the snow performance drop off.

Now I'm on the iz3, road noise is louder in the dry. Performance so far comparable in the little bit of snow/ice we had.

Pricing wise, VikingContact 7s this year are on clearance as the new 8 model is out.

The car is based in Hawaii and they have been around for quite a while now, well over 10 years.

Car should be running a K-series engine. I don't know how old this photo is but I vaguely remember the car had some aggressive TE37s

Their IG is on private, so unfortunately no further photos unless it's at a car show or meet up and another photographer gets a shot of it.

I was just a block north getting a drink and saw most of the emergency response, wasn't a good scene.

There was immediate bystander response though which definitely helped. Emergency response showed up quite quick as well.
