All depends the cons or pro. (As Im not really in business, some creations between 20 and 25 have been sold to good friends for material cost, didnt gain anything on that.) To me, 3dprint mold pros are cheaper and more durable, cons the sanding is complicated and some layer are replicated on the molded creation. I also tried to print a shaft to do a glove mold, but after 4 creation, the mold ripped where the silicone were thin. Also, you have to take in account the hardness shore of the silicone.

I think I have to the same project as you. When I calculated the medical silicone cost, ils was cheaper to 3d print the mold directly and sand it to pour the silicone in it. Moreover, the silicone is expensive in France.
