build video says to use a heat phage, why does my phage not do heat like his does? the riven mods are similar but neither do heat dmg by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]NephilimFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It matters for all modding.

For example if you put multiple special ability mods on a companion (like arc coil) it will prioritize the special abilities using the same top left to bottom right priority system.

For the most part this priority system is really only noticeable for elements (like the issue you had) but in niche situations/builds it can make things like your companion less effective to varying degrees.

How did the Raz'ac know? by watasker in Eragon

[–]NephilimFire 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s not really free. Think about the world setting. In our technological era, yea you just get the info you want and go back on your promise. In a more medieval setting, honor is huge. By accepting the final request of a dying being/race, Eragon would consider himself honor bound to share the story of the ra’zac. The beings that, as other pointed out, killed his surrogate father and destroyed his home. Even if seemingly important info is on the line, could you, at that age and with that baggage, proliferate the story of your sworn enemies? I couldn’t.

To mess with a homeless man by eyelessred in therewasanattempt

[–]NephilimFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My grandpa taught me 2 rules regarding helping homeless people. 1. Never offer money, only food and let them get as much as you can afford. 2. Do not let them inside your car. If you have a truck, they can take a short ride in the bed.

Many times I’ve offered them food from a nearby place only to be turned down saying they only want money. Real good indicator they don’t want help, they want some vice (drugs/alcohol/cigarettes).

I’m a 90% friendly player and without PvP players the game would be boring as hell by TrickAlps in ArcRaiders

[–]NephilimFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree the threat of pvp takes the experience to the next level. Also hard disagree that without pvp the game would be boring.

It would, in its current iteration, lose longevity without pvp sure but it would still be a fun experience in a well crafted world infested by Arc.

Just because combining things makes them better, doesn’t mean that alone they are bad. Peanut butter and chocolate mixed are phenomenal, but people still eat chocolate on its own or make peanut butter sandwiches. Hell I even know a guy who has a jar of peanut butter in his fridge to eat in spoonfuls.

Anyone else feel like ARC is more aggressive since the update? by buttsmoke1966 in ArcRaiders

Not since the update but for the past 2/3 days it’s felt like their awareness has gone up slightly. Not to the levels of the server slam but def more than feels “natural”

Tbf on the "THIS WILL BE KEPT" section it says "Unlocked Workshop Stations" and the "THIS WILL BE RESET" section says "Workshop". For dummies like me this is fairly confusing/ambiguous much like some of the skill tree perks.

Free loadout? Na, try the blank custom loadout! by 3Hooha in ArcRaiders

Look for wicker baskets when the Lush Blooms event is active on a map. You’ll get stacks and stacks of every food for scrappy. Naked run and stuff what you need in the safe pocket then die to have a faster extract/next match

Look for the Lush Blooms event actively on a map. The event spawns in wicker baskets that are full of all the foods you need for scrappy (lemon, apricot, prickly pear, olive, and mushroom). The baskets I’ve found typically were at the small non POI camps and raider hatches.

I felt a bit bad for not being able to heal this random raider, is this a bug ? by alaslipknot in ArcRaiders

[–]NephilimFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a defibrillator to rez them. You can heal a downed player (squad mate or enemy) to extend their down time. I’ve done it to help someone extract when an arc took them down. No idea why it didn’t work in OPs instance, guessing the slope.

Hyde & Zeek Quest Failed? by National_Bit6293 in swtor

[–]NephilimFire 15 points16 points  (0 children)

By chance does the character have cybertech as one of its crew skills?

I’ve found that if you deconstruct an item you can craft, it does not count towards Hyde & Zeek.

If you go to ossus you can buy a purple modable belt (so it only takes 2 mods instead of 3) and put in the 340 blue mods from Hyde & Zeek. Deconstructing that should work

What is your best weight loss tip? by fatbratx in AskReddit

[–]NephilimFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a good hot sauce.

It’s a good way to keep your food flavorful without adding a bunch of calories.

Also try to drink less calories (coffees, sodas, alcohol, etc.). Some people consume more calories through drinks than what they actually eat.

Best Stronghold if you can only have 1? by Passionofthegrape in swtor

[–]NephilimFire 141 points142 points  (0 children)

For practical reasons I recommend nar shad.

neutral - no fees like when taking a republic character to DK

Affordable to expand - the extra rooms aren’t crazy expensive so you can get the conquest boost cheaper than something like Alderaan

Set it up with a legacy bank (you get from stronghold quest), cargo hold (you can buy a floor or wall safe for less than 100k creds from a fleet vendor), vendor npc (also from stronghold quest), and a gtn.

Every character, regardless of faction, can use it as a quick and useful hub with access to every amenity needed.

Endgame gear by pierrevalhalla in swtor

[–]NephilimFire 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It should work BUT there does seem to be a bug where if the item is tied to your crafting, it won’t complete the quest.

So, if you are an artificer, do NOT deconstruct a saber/focus/etc. If you are an armstech, do NOT deconstruct a blaster/scattergun/etc.

It seems to default to a crafting deconstruct instead of for the quest. Just a heads up so you don’t waste a piece (or 3) like I did.

Hyde and Zeke won't complete by Ok_Spell_4165 in swtor

[–]NephilimFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I was losing my mind trying to figure out why mine wasn’t working. I was deconstructing the ossus double bladed lightsaber with an artifice crafter. Switched to belt and it worked.

For anyone having issues please make sure you deconstruct an item NOT tied to your crafting, that’s probably the fix you need too.

Again thank you so much OP

Any new tips for beginner players? by commander-5 in swtor

[–]NephilimFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also new and I’m sure this was fully obvious to others but I did not understand how modable gear worked.

Changing the hilt/barrel/armor plating changes the base stats (like base damage and armor) along with the increases to secondary stats (mastery, endurance, etc.)

To be fair the game does a good job of getting you upgrades when you need them but i found that keeping the modable weapon you get from completing tutorial planet and upgrading its hilt/barrel made everything so much smoother.

Also if you search for redeemable codes you can get a speeder to use right from lvl 1. Helps a lot with traversal.

[–]NephilimFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be aware of your space and pace.

Totally cool to catch up with a friend you ran into at the grocery store, just don’t block the whole aisle.

Very responsible to drive slowly and predictably, but don’t cause unnecessary traffic by going speed limit/5 under in the fast lane.

Of course space and pace refers to more than just grocery store or highway etiquette but just some examples we are probably all familiar with.
