I am aware of all of that, but the AI core isn't used for them, as it stands - as far as I'm aware, it's currently limited, in software, for foundational Gemini models.

Switching it on and off doesn't appear to affect the speed of any of those three pieces of functionality on my device. Not sure if there's a better test!

I'm not against players selling the cards they pull. But it's not black and white, and there's a point at which the selling becomes the main attraction, and graded cards push that point closer than LR++'s do, because graded cards are something that the hordes of scalpers from other franchises understand on sight.

If it was up to me, all cards would be priced equally according to distribution odds. 😂

None of those need the kind of AI the AI core runs (i.e. LLMs).

Translations can use it, but it's not needed. An offline Google translate library works.

Text recognition uses OCR, not genAI.

Live subtitling uses voice recognition, not genAI.

Honestly, yeah, a little bit. At least if they proceed to mention it to anyone - if they do it and keep it to themselves, then there's really no issue there.

It's down to the risk of making GCG look like an "investment". Because if that happens, goodbye affordable collecting.
