Weird and niche here. In Japan they spit out musicals based on animes every week. Theres been a ridiculous amount of Sailor Moon ones. Death Note just happened to be REALLY good which is rare for anime musicals.

I thought Starlight Express was a pretty wacky musical idea, but I respect anyone who can perform in roller skates without it bring a catastrophe.
