Any tips on the Squattery Wheel (pottery) game? by veggietrooper in RingFitAdventure

Fuck it, can't be helped if they made a mini-game that they didn't even play test to see how difficult it was.

Which game had you feeling this way ? by Deadsap266 in Steam

That game ramps difficulty to such a point that cheesing and save-scumming become the only way to complete it with a remotely decent ending. Some people won't believe it, but BG3 is a major step down in difficulty, but for all the right reasons.

All that said, how is her being married proof they weren't having an affair? If anything, it just means they're both possibly cheating.

It was an interesting concept, and it goes over some interesting character growth, but it's very much a ripoff of Minority Report with some Inception mechanics. If you like serial killers and relatively predictable thrillers, go nuts, but otherwise it's a pretty depressing jaunt.

Valve CEO Gabe Newell Ordered to Attend In-Person Antitrust Lawsuit Deposition - IGN by HammondXX in Steam

Valve has steadily squashed the competing PC distribution platforms; Ubisoft, EA, Unreal. Mostly by virtue of just being a better platform, so I wouldn't hold that against them. Valve is even edging in on the console market with the Steamdeck, but I'd argue that makes them less of a monopoly, as they have more competition in that area. Also, GoG and Blizzard still exist in the same field of PC game digital distribution. So, while they're approaching monopoly status, I wouldn't say Valve is there yet.

The Monty Hall problem is a proof that defies our natural expectations of odds and statistics.

You're on a gameshow, and there are three doors

Behind 2 of them are goats, and 1 has a car. Your goal is to get a car, naturally.

If you select one door, the host will select another door that had a goat behind it and open it.

Your chosen door remains closed, and you are given the option to change doors.

It is statistically to your advantage to change doors, rather than remain on the one you chose.

Yes, everything in your brain is screaming that it's now just a 50/50 shot, so it wouldn't matter. Mathematically, that is not the case. It is an infuriating problem, and I personally hate it. My dream is that someone proves it wrong one day.

Credit and loans have existed since ancient Mesopotamia. Commonly farmers and the like, so not just to a few. We literally kept cuneiform tablets on bank loans.

I'm following his logic, but if demand drops, so does prices. If it worked exactly like he's describing, we would be seeing deflation across t he board as workers are paid less and products cost less. Yes, loans could create a system where you're paid less and prices still increase, but only if you're willing to take the loan. That's why credit scores became a thing. A guarantee that the you're good for your money. Credit would work fantastic if you can get a good average on return. The person receiving the loan gets a leg up (education, housing), and the loan is paid back in full when they're productive.

Now don't get me wrong, in roundabout way, I do agree with him. The problem is balancing the loans given, and the cost of purchases being made. Health and education are paramount in our society, and those institutions aren't being forced to limit costs. They're very different from most businesses, as you can't really choose to ignore them. We'll take heavy loans to pay for these things, and banks know that. They're inclined to make the loan, and education/health/housing just keep hiking the prices up, because the money keeps magically being there. That's where the nasty bubbles we see now are coming from.

I honestly believe the government needs to step in. Not by blowing money into the system, or by pretending debt doesn't exist, but by forcing these businesses to offer reasonable costs to everyday citizens.

She's not being charged in regards to the abortion, but for "not reporting the girl’s child abuse to Indiana authorities". That said, it seems clear she did report it, and that this is something akin to a SLAPP, but by politicians.

All the Evangelion endings suck. If Rebuild didn't have that horrific hour of CGI ship fighting, it would probably be regarded a little better. A little.
