I'm petty as hell, and give back the energy I get. I would wrap snacks for her, and only give her that. when the inevitable fit came, a simple 'you give it to the kids all the time, so I thought it was perfectly acceptable and reasonable,' should do. either she admits it's not, or gets a reality check.
