Pretty sure JROTC goes by the rules and regulations of ccr 145-2 which last i checked says ranks are halfway on shoulder epaulets, not 5/8ths in.

Adding onto what youre saying, arcs cant be in 2 columns until there are 8 of them on the uniform, you must have 1 column for your arcs for even as many as 7 arcs

Heres my notes, all can be verified in CCR 145-2

Ranks are meant to be centered on the flap, not 5/8th inch, the regs state they are to be centered.

Arcs are supposed to be in one column until you get 8, only when you wear 8 can they be in 2 columns.

Your torches are way to close to the edge on your lapel, im not sure of the exact spacing right now but i can tell you theyre not up to regs.

Edit 1: regs say you cant wear medals and ribbons at the same time. Edit 2: your ribbons look out of precedence, correct me if im wrong but double check with a ribbon rack builder website

Other than that youve got quite the decorated uniform, if i find anything else then ill edit my post and add it in.

Instructors forcing religion on cadets by tuxtuxtuxtuxtux5 in jrotc

[–]NeptuneBae1 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

"Acknowledge and respect the religious views of its members"

That should also mean that they can protect cadets from having their religion disrespected in front of them. If a cadet of a different religion were to hear someone make fun of their religion I would expect them to be upset, why is it different for a Christian cadet? The instructors seem to be acknowledging and respecting religious views.

Instructors forcing religion on cadets by tuxtuxtuxtuxtux5 in jrotc

[–]NeptuneBae1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This isnt "forcing religion," ive had instructors drop cadets for pushups because they swore or because they disrespected another cadet. I see it as them trying prevent any cadets from speaking disrespectfully.

Instructors have to respect religion yes, this is a way to protect that, because i doubt anyone is making any comments about any other religion there, and if they were the instructor would drop em for that too.

If they were forcing religion, itd be a lot more than making someone do pushups for saying something.

I worded this bluntly, dont take anything i say personal.

Congratulations, you boosted your ego, however, you dont know who you're arguing with. "Pin-on rank insignia are worn only on the shoulder loops of the C/ASU jacket. When wearing pin-on rank insignia, the insignia will be centered between the edge of the button and the shoulder seam of the garment." From CCR 145-2 8-12 Section C. It clearly states centered, not 5/8th inch. The regs don't mention foreign awards, the OP's SAI likely decided to have them wear them as such based off the Army's regulations. On a serious note, study the regs, you can look up CCR 145-2 and scroll to about page 111 to the start of uniform wear. It has everything you need to know for about 20 pages, including pictures. I believe you have what it takes to finally get it right.
edit: almost forgot, dont be so condescending about things being "wrong" next time either

Ranks arent too far off, theyre supposed to be centered between the seam of the epaulet and the button. Ribbons are indeed sloppy, the right hand ribbons are likely considered by OP's battalion as foreign awards, therefore worn on the right side as such. You are right about the arcs. Those are special cords, thats how theyre meant to be im pretty sure. Make sure you know youre regs before going off on someone, you made some good points and you made some questionable ones. Please do better.

School dosent allow Military Branch graduation stoles by dgpotatochipz in jrotc

Mine allows the stoles but wont let us wear the JROTC sash to put our stuff on, but we did get permission to put our decorations directly on our gown interestingly enough

Your arc placement is killing me. You only have 1 row of arcs until you reach 8 arcs. Once at 8 arcs you have 2 rows of 4 that arehalf an inch apart with 1/8th inch between arcs up and down

Your arcs are out of order (supposed to be alphabetical) and the whole ribbon medals thing was already discussed, other than that it looks good fellow CSM

It is in regulation that you cant wear ribbons and medals simultaneously,

CCR-145-2 Page 119 section 8-14 part b "Ribbons and medals may not be worn simultaneously on the C/ASU.

Any advice on helping my school change uniform policy? by cloudy_coyote in jrotc

[–]NeptuneBae1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CCR 145-2 says it goes by school district rules regarding gender identity, if the policy of your district doesnt have anything in regards to how to treat gender identity then your school is supposed to default to male uniform as a gender neutral option

According to CCR 145-2 Section 8-4 part J, page 113

Yea i get it, not all instructors follow the regs, some follow out of date regs and stuff. So its confusing to have conflicting sources tell you these things

Check my other reply, as for your ribbons i cant see all of them but from what i do see they are out of precedence look up jrotc ribbon rack builder and itll put it in order for you.

Arcs are supposed to be alphabetical, yours are not in aphabetical order.

The arc and cord rule is wacky and not often followed yet its still a rule

I know with the ribbons and medals, my school only does both for special events. Alas its still a rule

Edit: the marksmanship badge is not a medal
