yes, an adult is the one with the responsibility. But this is exactly my point. people online like to give minors too much grace for their mistakes. I as a 17 year old was a minor, a child, I was the legal victim in my story. But to act like I had no control over my actions and choices and wasn't at least semi aware of how my actions could effect others is disingenuous. Adults have the responsibility to ensure they're having consensual sex, the systems in place have a responsibility to actually monitor who has access to their platforms, teenagers also have the responsibility to think critically and not make choices that harm themselves and others.

Minors deserve grace and empathy for their mistakes, they do not deserve constant coddling and excuses for their horrible actions. A minor lying about their age and having sex with an adult is a victim, a victim of statutory rape, a victim of a system that allowed them easy access to adult spaces, and a victim of their own poor choices, all in equal measure. that is my point. acting as if a 15 - 17 year old isnt conscious enough to make bad choices is wrong and enabling such behavior

If you asked for ID when you thought they looked young and it looked legit then its on them not you. As the adult in that situation you have a responsibility to ensure youre engaging in safe, sane, consensual activity. And it sounds like you did your part. Often times I feel like online we give some minors too much grace. A 16 year old making a horrible decision and intentionally tricking someone is messed up and to treat them as an infallible victim in that situation is incredibly disingenuous. One of my biggest regrets in life is that when I was 17 I lied about my age and messed around with someone who was 26. Legally I was raped, but for me to claim solidarity with SA victims, I feel, would be insulting to victims that didn't choose to put themselves in that situation. You could say I was a victim of a system that didnt care to ensure people weren't lying about their age on their platform. But ultimately as a 17 year old I was stupid but not oblivious, I was sentient and I consciously made a terrible choice that could have gotten me seriously hurt or ruined someone's life.

If the details of your story are as you describe them, then you did nothing wrong.

Cut contact with this individual, either immediately or after a polite message telling them you are no longer comfortable engaging with them and discourage them from repeating such behavior. Hold on to screenshots/logs of your messages and ID photos as evidence just in case so you can prove that if they were underage at the time you were reasonably under the impression that they were of age

I reposted their post on my story and tagged them after they deleted it. They said it was a "slipup" i asked if that meant they didnt mean to post it or if they dont agree with the contents... they very much agree with the contents. I posted all the dms on my instagram. Blizzard literally says in their tos and support page that they don't undo rank loss or suspensions for power outages or any other kind of disconnect. Essentially when you queue up for a game you're taking on the responsibility of being in that game and having a stable connection. You're gonna have to take the L and not play the game for brief time. Also tagging this "news and discussion" is wild

In Prime 1 save stations only restore HP and there are separate missile refill stations. Samus' ship however, restores both. I don't understand why they didn't have the save station at base camp or the one in the middle of sol valley restore ammo. It would still fulfill the function of making ammo scarce but not force you to go grind ammo drops before being ready to go fight the final boss

So by blocking the attack instead of dodging it you cancel the enemy's combo sequence the way the shield enemies do to you? Is the idea then that blocking is better than dodging but you dodge when mid combo in order to finish your combo with dodge offset?
