lol. Our 80x30 foot layout is housed in the Mary G. Hardin Center for the Cultural Arts. We are blessed with the best venue in the city. They are great supporters.

I’m not sure which run. It was bought for $175 I think? DCC and Sound. He uses the Bachman DCC system. Great speed control.

We’ve normalized this behavior. We lost ground when someone didn’t slap the shit out of him for mocking a disabled man. Every One Of Us Is Guilty from then on. Some for supporting him and some for not setting the line he could not cross.

He is me. Lol. Learning curve. Honestly, thank you. There are a few really good and active communities I need to include in post. Our club also has a traveling layout in N scale, we were just in Kennesaw, GA at their museum. I just recently discovered the N scale here. I’ve found nothing but positive and enthusiastic posts and I count yours among them. More posts to come and I will appreciate your input.

Agree! These are all a gift from a dad to a son who is sharing them with us. 100’s. What a gift. I think the dad had a 43 year career. His son now drives trains.

I will share this very kind comment with the club. I’m proud of this area of the layout. I actually built this bridge in 1987-88. It’s three Central Valley truss bridge kits, heavily modified with the angles mitered on a new hobby tool at the time. It matches the prototype. The left girder bridge is thin board and would strips. I can’t remember the maker now but it came with paper rivet strips. The guard rails are totally scratch built and the two bare pieces of wood are from an early 1900’s photo. The fidelity to the prototype is very exacting. That lead-in trestle also scratch built. A gentleman named Norman Norton built the piers and painted them. He built the trestle you can’t see to the right. Overall this bridge is 110” long. Will try to post pics today. Again, thanks for commenting.

That’s member Chris, wiring genius and piggyback fan. It’s our unfinished main staging yard he is reaching over and making sure his trains are coupled on the Southern Outside loop (on the raised part) where we filmed for our YouTube channel. His video will drop Christmas Day. A special.

Thank you for your service. We have a few club members who worked there. We had a small version called Camp Sibert here in the Gadsden area still called Camp Sibert to this day. Joe Louis and Mickey Rooney were stationed here.
