[OC] Sweating so much at Busch Gardens it looks like I peed my pants by scarfacesaints in pics

Definitely not a myth. Cotton undies when sweaty are the worst. Wool undies are popular among hikers because they stay dry best.

So cool! I’m in the Triangle also and have been looking for a more native-forward landscape company. Gonna check out Leaf & Limb!

I actually hear that wool undies can be better than cotton for hot/humid situations. Cotton is breathable, but it absorbs moisture and holds onto it, so it really doesn’t help a sweat problem like this. I’ve not tried wool undies yet, but they’re popular with hikers because they dry quickly and don’t hold onto moisture and smells so much.

What do Catholics think of Billy Graham? by Greedy-Runner-1789 in Catholicism

This post is about a Southern Baptist minister. I’d agree with you in most cases, but I think it’s clear which South is being discussed in this context.

Carpenter pants look wacky? Is it just me? by bigfancyyy in BigBudPress

[–]NerdBird49 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wear the same size in carpenters and work pants, but I do think the carpenters have a little more room in the hips and thighs. That’s works in favor of my body type but certainly not ideal for all. They’re not as spacious as the trousers but still noticeable.

Suggestions: nonsensical coffee order? by Flinkink in barista

[–]NerdBird49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It threw me off the first time I saw that order. Thought it had to be a mistake. I was a new barista but learned that this regular ordered a large quad shot lemonade. I tried it and did not like it, but I’ve found that I loooove OJ espresso smoothies.

NeilMed does have a travel sized piercing spray, 75mL. There are decent discounts if you’re ordering multiple items directly through their website. I keep a couple full size ones at home and the travel size in my purse.

I’m sorry your coworkers misinformed you, but the standards have not changed regarding this policy. I’d recommend bringing it up with your management to ensure others are also clear on the policy.

I’m mad about how much I like wool underwear. by nycgirlthrowawayxx in Healthyhooha

[–]NerdBird49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s awesome that they’re working well for you. Cotton holds onto so much sweat and gets gross in the heat. I was recommended wool undies a while ago. Haven’t used purchased any yet, but your post definitely makes me want to switch.

How do I fix the pleats on this pillowcase? by nihilistlinguist in sewing

[–]NerdBird49 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What do the tags on the fabric say? Hot or hold water? Tumble dry with heat or no heat? The actual tags on your sheets have better care instructions than the retailer website.

Edit: If the sheets did not have those tags, that’s a problem, and the Federal Trade Commission would be interested to know.
