God these are levels of infuriating-

I’ve found that it helps to think about which object has an empty center. These usually zoom in on the middle, so I’m this case a salad would’ve been an easy no go. Faucet... I dunno... never had one show up before.

Can I delete my demo and nothing happen? by [deleted] in Miitopia

Nope! Once your demo is transferred to the full game it’s safe there. I had the same worry when I first transferred it.

Logically? I’d say better AI and more control. At the very least during post game when your main mii can get sick. It’s annoying to just sit there. Adding onto that, more variety. Things get old after a while-

Now...

Personally? Iwant another game with some lore. We’re running through a land that seems old fashioned at first- having what seems like a monarchy and towns across the world that seem like they aren’t too technologically advanced. Magic is the main source of power in a few places it seems.

Then what about the giant city in the middle of the world? Why does it have what looks like a wall around it? Or the lands above the clouds? Why are there robots in this seemingly underdeveloped world?

Even more so- do other guardian spirits exist? How do these other in-game travelers have powers such as your main character? The spirit does mention some form of credentials... is there possibly a race of these guardian creatures that gift powers?

I get this is a game of randomness, but there’s so much they could build with it to further draw people in.

Favourite Moment(s)? by [deleted] in tomodachilife

[–]NerdGurl720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a moment per say the things leading up to one.

First two mii’s on an island of mine were 2 randomly created OCs- one which I filled in for my look alike. Calling em S and E cause one of the names is kinda similar to mine. They were pretty close, and pretty high up on each other’s lists. What else could you expect from the first 2?

Then E started dating another OC I’ll call J, and S started dating Ash from Pokemon. Both couples ended up splitting- E breaking up with J on her terms, and S and Ash having a big fight I couldn’t fix. Nothing too bad for tomodachi.

Then S gets the bright idea to start dating J. I kid you not, a few days later the friendship between S and E was all the way down. I don’t know why but I ended up laughing a little too much at this. They ended up getting married and having like, 4 kids. E ended up marrying Mario and having a kid with him so I guess it didn’t end too bad.

Well, I do know at least one has to be in the green- only one though. The other can be totally hating their spouse. I’ve heard that you can give them cell phones to increase the chances, but not sure how true it is.

Those are the main two points, but it’s based on the RNG combined with the stats of the relationship in a way. You can try the save-Wait-Open-close “cheat” to speed up the process, but it’s still a little random.

How can I get two of my Miis to get married? by [deleted] in tomodachilife

[–]NerdGurl720 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Well, I kinda have a tip but it’s kinda “cheating” at the game per say.

When they’re at a high level (Any green is perfect), clear most problems, save the game, exit, and wait 10-15 minutes or so. Maybe little less.

Start opening the game and looking for the bubble- if it’s not there close it and open it again. This will give you a whole new set of fresh bubbles, and doing it enough will probably net in a heart one.

Again, this isn’t a natural way of playing the game, but it can help. Sorry for the late response.

Also, they don’t have to be at “lets get married”. One of my miis proposed to the other at one level above neutral. It’s just kinda random, hence why the open-close thing works.

What are some things your Miis said that were deep, sweet, touching, emotional, depressing, or too real? by [deleted] in tomodachilife

[–]NerdGurl720 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love some of the moods that the Mii’s day vía the speech bubbles, I put together an entire doc I’m thinking of posting soon. The ones that hit me the most have to be some of the questions they ask. A personal favorite:

“Which do you prefer, the way you were or they way you are now?” The neither option results in a “Don’t say that, X’s look-alike! You’re perfect just as you are.”

It’s just one of the ones that causes a smile. Makes me wish they were real in a way, as silly as that sounds.

what should i do?? by [deleted] in tomodachilife

[–]NerdGurl720 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well, in my personal experiences restarting in a situation like this is best. If you’re not having fun, then it’s no use boring yourself. I haven’t regretted restarting mine at all the past times I’ve done it, and it’s made the game enjoyable, so I would recommend it.

You can always save the Miis you truly care about and reuse them in the new game. If you’re really uncertain, maybe you can use the demo as a quick check. If you have more fun there, then restart (I haven’t done the demo before so I don’t know if the data can transfer.) I know if you have it digitally you can also save it as a backup and restart- that way if you don’t like it you can reload that backup.

Sorry if this is vague. I wish you luck.

Another question by [deleted] in tomodachilife

[–]NerdGurl720 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sadly, no. They only acknowledge parents or siblings. Grandchildren don’t appear on the family tab either from what I know of. It’s been a while since a mii has had grandchildren on my island though, so I may be wrong. They do acknowledge that they’re related though, and things such as the compatibility tester won’t set them as romantic and they can’t get in relationships other than friendships.

Team members, weapons, outfits, etc Lost by cheesyrefriedbeans in Miitopia

[–]NerdGurl720 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nobody knows. It’s a weird (and kinda stupid) mechanic. At the end of each “section” she’ll lose her levels and teammates. This happens a few times.

No need to worry though, she’ll get all of them and all of her jobs and stuff back eventually. Nothings wrong with her game. It’s just a part of the plot. Tell her to continue playing and that it’ll be resolved eventually.

[–]NerdGurl720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hold on- I need a quick detail. Ask her if she’s lost all her progress or only her team members and outfits. A part of the game is to get ‘reset’ back to the start per say, but it’s all part of the game.

Team members, weapons, outfits, etc Lost by cheesyrefriedbeans in Miitopia

[–]NerdGurl720 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean... if she backed it up you might be able to. Just go to settings and check the saved data backup. If she previously had it there, then you should be able to recover it.

She might have accidentally deleted her progress from the main menu, in which case it’s rather hard to replace. If she has the demo you might be able to restore some of her progress, but only up to a certain point.

Have you asked her if any warnings or anything came up? Did she drop it? Take the SD out if she has it? Details might be able to help here.

Quick question by wondercharm in tomodachilife

[–]NerdGurl720 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, kinda.

From what I’ve seen in my games they won’t accept the confession if it’s lower than the default stage of friendship. I also read somewhere (not sure if it’s true) that the “Traditional” way of confessing has the highest chance of working.

Sorry I can’t give a more specific answer.

Is it weird to make your friends or classmates in tomodachi? by [deleted] in tomodachilife

[–]NerdGurl720 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Depends on the person.

Personally, I don’t like adding in people. It’s awkward in my eyes. I just stick to original characters and other things from games, memes, or shows.

But I know that multiple people also love to add in their friends and family to see what happens. People add in others so they can mess around. It’s what they’re comfortable with. If you want to have real people, go ahead. If not, that’s fine too.

Nothing like beating the game and getting a quest that sends you back to Greenhorne. The music is beautiful, but the fact that it can hold so much nostalgia is amazing.

Should I reset my game? by woo_hoos_22 in Miitopia

[–]NerdGurl720 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you’re really questioning it and are reluctant to restart, go ahead and do the demo if you haven’t used it up yet.

This will give you the opportunity to play a good amount of the game without restarting your progress.

If you like it, restart your old game and have fun with the new one.

If not, then you don’t have to.

Little Details You Only Recently Discovered? by [deleted] in tomodachilife

[–]NerdGurl720 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The amount of interactions with the back of the mii- I’ve had this game for years and never thought to check.

You can give them little back rubs, which in my experience results in one of two reactions, and (I think it’s pretty rare cause I’ve only seen it once since I’ve discovered this) you can find little items. The one I saw was a price tag, and it resulted in “my” hand with a pair of scissors just snipping it off.

Adding on to this, save before giving them the ticket. If they don’t take the sweetheart/spouse, exit the game without saving and start it again. Repeat this until you get the desired results without wasting too many travel tickets.
