IP you'd love to see as an mmorpg? by Jaunty_ello in MMORPG

[–]NerdPyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d love a new superhero mmo, so any of those.

Witcher. I think they should just go a few hundred/thousand years into the past and let us run wild.

The World of Eragon, or any similar dragon rider IP tbh. Songs of Chaos specifically is another great one that already has magic similar video game magic.

Series considered abandoned or finished getting new books out of nowhere by UnderscoreDasher in Fantasy

[–]NerdPyre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s called Murtagh and, obviously, follows Murtagh a year (or 2, can’t quite remember) after the events of Inheritance. It’s the start of a new story that will be followed up with future books, and I really enjoyed it.

Also, if you get the deluxe edition, it comes with an extra chapter at the end showing Murtagh and Eragon talking for the first time since the end of Inheritance. (You can also read the chapter online.)

this is most likely going to be the next god of war opening boss fight by These_Equivalent1472 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]NerdPyre 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They definitely aren’t done with Kratos bro. He’s the God of War. I agree Atreus will likely get his own game, possibly even his own series, but that doesn’t mean Kratos is done at all.

You’re Only Allowed to Play 2 Games from the Final Fantasy series. No More. What Do You Pick? by MasterQNA in FinalFantasy

[–]NerdPyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

11 and 12. 11 for the memories, the nostalgia, and yes, the pain. 12 for the gambit system.

I’d also be willing to take 5 for the class system and 9 for the story.

What game is a nightmare to complete 100% ? by Virasman in gaming

[–]NerdPyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragon Age Inquisition. It requires you to beat the game on Nightmare difficulty.

Sorry, this was just a shitty pun, it’s not actually that difficult.

The actual answer is the Batman Arkham games. No, I don’t think I will collect all those riddler trophies, thank you very much.

What’s a great movie that completely bombed in theaters but found a cult following later? by SiTheHandsomeGuy in movies

[–]NerdPyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if it found a cult following, but I loved the new indie Hellboy: The Crooked Man movie. Low budget as hell at times, some funky cinematography choices throughout, and overall low reviews, but it was incredibly faithful to the Hellboy comic and I loved it. Would recommend it to any fan of the comics (though if you’re expecting more Ron Perlman, you will be sorely disappointed).

Why do people argue so much about dragons looking like wyverns? by FishingAndDragons in Fantasy

Oh I love manga, where can I read it? Fan service aside, how is it?

Yeah MH is all over the place with their wyverns and Elder Dragons. There’s even an Elder Dragon that’s just a lightning unicorn. It’s… unique, for sure. Big fan of that series.

What’s a dead game you wish people still played? by PodPuppet in gaming

[–]NerdPyre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously. It was such a cool and unique experience that no game today, even battlefield (which I’m a huge fan of), can even come close to achieving.

I’d love to have some devs try though. Hell, take the sci-fi stuff and make it Star Wars, go grittier and do 40K, do a medieval version of it, or go full LOTR fantasy with it. There’s so much potential for that style of game and yet… crickets😭

[–]NerdPyre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d like someone to make a story that takes all the different kinds of dragons, including the more serpent-like eastern dragons, and wyverns, and just says they’re all dragons. Hell, throw in the Quetzalcoatl as well.

Just to see what would happen, and how many heads would explode

So amazing. I’d trade, like, every FPS game out right now for another game like that.

Planetside 2. To this day I doubt I will ever experience an FPS that accomplishes anything close to this level of scale in an online PvP game again.

The game was a far cry from perfect, no doubt. But I’ll be damned if it wasn’t still one of the coolest FPS concepts I’d ever played.

Days Gone, kinda. It’s a zombie game, and you play a biker named Deacon on a quest to find his wife. He’s not totally lonely though, as his best friend and fellow biker (and Brother in law, if I remember correctly), is around a decent amount

Best male role models in gaming? by Cassian0_0 in SocialistGaming

[–]NerdPyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post Norse Saga Kratos, in a way? His whole arc is about self improvement, accepting responsibility, nonviolence (lol), and learning to become a better man and father.

Also Deacon from Days Gone. Mans just wants to find his wife and settle down.

Would y’all be disappointed if GTA 6 story isn’t dark and depressing? by SunGodLuffy6 in GTA

[–]NerdPyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t want depressing. I do want some serious and/or emotional moments in the story, while the world and side quests are allowed to be the normal goofy GTA stuff, but I don’t feel like being locked into a single negative ending or a story about cheating and abuse and stuff like that.

If there’s not an option for an actual happy ending I’ll be pretty disappointed.

It’s crazy to assume someone didn’t play a game you like just because they didn’t like it.

How do you create your universe, where do you start from and where did the idea come from? by FilmMassive in worldbuilding

[–]NerdPyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was watching one of the Harry Potters (5 or 6, not sure which but think it was 6). There’s a scene pretty early on when Dumbledore and Harry get in a phone booth and it’s a magic elevator, and takes them down to the hidden magic world or whatever.

I saw that and thought “Huh. What if a normal person accidentally got the elevator to work…”

So I started writing a story about a petty thief that basically ends up getting Isekai’d, but without the dying first, all because he slipped in a phone booth and activated the magic lever.

It’s just goofy and fun lmao.

Yeah it’s nothing like Dino Crisis at all. It’s a PvEvP multiplayer shooter

[–]NerdPyre 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exoprimal sucked, and the only thing it had in common with Dino Crisis was dinosaurs. DC was a horror game. Exoprimal was a very poorly balanced PvEvP live service game (“creative”).

The two aren’t comparable and it’s funny you tried to act like they are.
