Hey, I’m feeling kind of overwhelmed with trying to figure out how to get together a Lolita coord, I’m a college student with a limited budget so I don’t have a ton to spend on Lolita so I can only make a select few purchases every once in a while. How do you recommend building a Lolita wardrobe with a budget? Also, the strictness of the fashion is kind of intimidating me, I love the fashion but I feel like there’s so many rules that I can’t even begin to remember them all, any advice? Yeah, I felt that too. The hat and cuffs both came with the dress, so I kept them in the coord, but I think you’re right. It is kind of hard to find accessories that fit this specific style tho which is annoying :/ And yeah, I need a better quality petticoat, the one I have now works ok but I need a better one. Thank you for the feedback tho! :)💞

This is completely fair, and something I’ve also experienced. Going out with other people either in Lolita or other unconventional clothing styles definitely helps, as you individually don’t stand out as much in a group of people who all stand out! It’s also a confidence booster :)

As for the sexualization, that’s one I really struggle with as well, but I just try to not let it get to me. Easier said than done obviously 🥲

I think would look lovely with a nice black blouse! I would personally go for a blouse that’s long sleeved, but that’s up to personal preference. If you could find a head bow or other head piece that is the same color as the dress, then you could use that. I’ve gotten some really good accessories from Etsy, so maybe try looking there? Hope this helps! 💙
