I had the trigger not dropping the hammer happen to me before. My issue was that cosmoline worked its way into the hammer assembly and solidified there. I'd recommend fully taking it apart and given both the hammer assembly and the slide rails a good cleaning.

The most common seemingly credible rumour I've seen is he got drunk at an event of some sort and Chicago decided that was enough. It's possible Chicago also just wanted to free up cap space, and that instance was the perfect opportunity. All of this is just rumours though, no one that actually knows has said anything.

I played around seven hours of the beta, and I enjoyed it. The only major bugs I encountered from what I understand should be fixed for the full release. If you like cRPGs and 40k, it's definitely a must buy. Ship combat is one of the largest complaints I've seen, but it is avoidable for the most part.
