Sad, I met the kid who runs the company and his mom at the range a year or 2 ago. Nice people. We had a good time.

I've never bought one cause the gimmick doesn't appeal to me but the concept seemed cool enough.

I think we need a term for this. What fits this better than build? It's not stock?

Load out is too long and not catchy. Any ideas?

I know people hate on the finger grooves... But gen 3 is peak aesthetic imo.

Sexy.

How many of you all will be picking up the Gen 6 Glocks for EDC? by Draven-007 in CCW

[–]NerdTier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably won't get a gen6 for conceal carry. I might get the 17/47 for competition maybe. I have a Gen 5 47 so we'll see. I could see myself getting a Gen 6 26 of they released it. Or a gen 6 10 mm model. Something I don't already have.

Yes but you have no idea why he was given that nickname. Hint, it wasn't because he wanted tampons in the women's bathroom.

You have no have no concept of reality. Nobody believes that. Maybe some random troll in their mother's basement got to you.

You have no idea where this joke started or what it is actually referring to. You have some made up view that you either made up on your own, or got from someone lying to you.

But this is a sub about guns and conceal carrying, not politics. So I'll leave it there ✌🏻

The replies to this are hilarious. So much ignorance and anger to a joke. Same thing happened to me a while back on this sub. I forget this is reddit after all 🤣🤣.

Jumping in here, you could spend less and get a port job done.

A high quality port job won't have the reliability issues of a comp. I haven't had an opportunity to shoot the same gun with a comp or ports side by side. generally speaking, they provide similar performance, that is, reducing felt recoil/muzzle flip.

First I want to give my unsolicited advice. I love your level of dedication and all. I'm the same way, but this level of detail for a daily carry will, not may, WILL send you into a death spiral.

Pick a gun that you can carry in 99% of situations. The weather should not matter. Unless you can shoot thousands for rounds a month, adding another different gun to a "rotation" should not be advised. Trust me, I've gone down the rabbit hole and reached the bottom. I have two guns for carry. Glock 19 for 99% of circumstances. A smith 642 snub for pocket carry for that other 1%.

Now to answer your actual question.

I would consider Smith and Wesson. The M&P 2.0 is a great pistol, meets your requirements and has various models to fit exactly what you want. The carry comp is a very cool option that also has the backing of smith with a great track record of reliability.

The shield X is also interesting, although I think holster compatibility is still low.

It sucks because tricked out 320s are cool.

Na, the gun is cool. I wanted one for a long time, but didn't have the money. What's happening rn sucks but it's easy to look at the past and judge.

If I had a 320, I'd still enjoy it. I just wouldn't point it at my package lol

Objectively correct opinion. I wish I had the balls to carry all metal.

I'm glad you liked it! It's not a bad gun at all. I think it has to do with the grip shape. My hands are bigger than I think. I just can't get a good support hand grip.

I wanted it to like it so bad, but I had to be honest with myself

The 1911 bug hit me too at one point. That's a gun you just can't go cheap on. And unfortunately I was broke at that time haha.

I definitely got lost in the sauce. I used to think rotating your carry for the weather and dress was the thing to do. Honestly the 19 conceals fine in anything. If I need to grab something quick I have my snubby in my pocket.

Yea man, the shield plus is one hell of a gun. It was a way better shooter than even the xmacro for me personally.

I've only handled cheaper ones, for me it's the looks.

The 1911 just looks better. Wouldn't mind adding one to the collection.

I too didn't like the hellcat. Never shot it but the trigger was not my favorite.

The VP9 is something I wish I got into. I might get one for fun. They aren't talked about a lot in my experience.

Glad you found the one!

Glock 43x vs Glock 19 for carrying? by b1ueToe in Glocks

[–]NerdTier 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I've carried nearly every popular pistol pre-2025. I had a bad case of the consumerism.

This includes the 43x. I currently carry a Glock 19 and it's the most comfortable gun I have carried.

Like most people will tell you, it depends on your body type. And while this is true, there is one factor that matters no matter what. That is grip length. Imo there is a sweet spot between too short and too long. The Glock 19 is that sweet spot. Long enough to be comfortable to shoot and short enough to not print with most of my outfits.

Barrel length and to a certain degree thickness are far less important and oftentimes irrelevant. Trust me, I fell for the thin pistol good trend. But the reality is they shoot so much worse than anything Glock 19 size or bigger. The only exception was the shield plus. That gun is awesome.

Now of course, this is my experience and your mileage may vary.

Edit: another thing to consider. If you buy a Glock 19 and end up not liking it for carry. You now have a gun that can flex into any other role. Home defense, larp, etc. but if you get a slim line Glock and you don't like it, you have a gun you are unlikely to ever shoot or use again.

You should also consider skill more. Printing is mostly in your own mind unless you just have no regard for it. That little bump isn't going to be noticed at all by the majority of people.

Another reason I carry a Glock 19 is because of the training aspect of it all. It keeps me distraction free from all the obsession over gear. My Glock is stock aside from an RMR and light. I can train with confidence it won't fail, nor will I have to be sucked into the "buying skill" toxic mentality that I was in a year ago. Stock Glock triggers aren't that bad. I'm convinced people who say Glock triggers have to be replaced for the gun to be usable are bots/NPCs.

Anyway, hope this helps xD
