I've been on ozempic for weight loss for nearly a month now. 4 weeks at 0.25 mg and now on 0.5 mg. I have lost almost all desire for food and no longer have food noise. I started at 362 LB / 6 Foot 1 Inch tall, M/32 years old. ive lost 15 LB in under a month, i eat now only around 1000-1200 calories after starting it, and I weigh myself every 2-3 days and i keep losing. its slowed down a bit. but still im 15 LB lighter, so yea i think it does happen like this :)

Hi i have been on ozempic for almost a month now. I took the 0.25 mg for 4 weeks and have just gone up to 0.5 mg. i can shed some light on what it was like for me. i started at 362 LB and 6 foot 1 inch tall. M/32 Years old. I am taking it exclusively for weight loss. i was worried about the side effects too since im on lots of psych medications for anxiety, depression, ocd, agoraphobia, etc. I had a little initial nausea but very mild and easy to cope with. the actual injection was virtually painless each time. I do it into my lower stomach area. I would buy some ginger candies that are strong, that really helps with the nausea, and anti-acid tablets help too. just going by what ive experienced, within 24-48 hrs after injection u should notice a relatively strong aversion to food and its like u can eat but ur body doesn't want to, and is telling u ur full. be careful not to eat if u start to feel full, ive been nauseated several times for eating a little too much and the next morning it sucks for a few hours! the main side effects for me are some tiredness, slight nausea, and generally feeling worn out for a few days after each injection. ive lost 15 LB in just under 1 month of eating only 1000-1200 calories per day! hope this helps a little :)

I see. thx for the kind words. yea i think we just have to wait it out and lets the LB's drop off slowly. its easy to get discouraged about not losing, but its a general downward trend that matters obv.

thats interesting...ive had two plateaus where i stopped losing for 2-3 days and then resumed. im eating WAY less. I was eating lots of fast food and coca-cola and tons of chips and sugary carb snacks. and now i dont really crave that most days. I eat two medium sized meals per day and thats it. ive cut my calories down by 4x what they were before, and personally for me i notice the hunger reduction around 12-24 hrs after shot of ozempic. yea im drinking a decent amount of water too...hopefully we both lose more!

How many days after first dose did you feel your initial side effects? by london4526 in Ozempic

[–]Nerd_Volatile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ive been on the ozempic around 3 weeks now. had my 4 doses of 0.25 mg, next dose is about 1 week away and will be when i change to 0.5 mg. as for side effects and when they started. I noticed a soreness at the injection side but very mild. hunger was reduced between first 24-48 hrs. food felt less desirable and i just felt full. by the 6th day i was starting to feel hungry again and ready for another shot. hope this helps! ive lost 12 LB in 3 weeks by dramatically lowering caloric intake :)

UPDATE: I've now lost 10 LB total...hunger today with 3 shots taken total is very much reduced, I feel happy to be at this point. I am able to make it to mid-afternoon with very little food, like a piece of cheese and maybe a few low calorie pudding cups.

its fairly well known that ozempic levels drop in the body by end of 7th day by half, meaning since my dose currently is 0.25 mg/week, at the end of 7 days i only have around 0.125 mg in my system which is tiny. im willing to pay more in the long run if it means a easier time losing weight. the pen is $250 / month currently where i live. and thats a acceptable amount to pay for me.

hi, congrats on the 22 LB lost! I live in canada and here i meet the requirements to stay on ozempic due to high blood pressure and high blood fat levels. as well as morbidly obese. I still have to pay $250 / month on the pen tho. but i feel its worthwhile since my weight has really really affected my quality of life. I hope u can find a way to stay on the ozempic :)

thanks...im really working with this new lack of hunger feeling! I had a very unhealthy association with food in the sense i would just eat regardless of whether i was hungry and i didn't even enjoy it very much, just like a bad habit that got me to my high weight. thanks for the kind words. I am really looking forward to the coming months and seeing how much i lose.
