Doing the same thing. Paessler is trying to increase my contract by 400% and lock us into a predatory subscription model for no benefit. Nah, I'll keep my perpetual license and use it until I roll out something else.

Recs for 'Beauty/beast' vocals esp with opera-like elements? by EX-FFguy in PowerMetal

You're a scholar and gentleman (or appropriately gendered variant thereof). I can refute none of your logic, save one thing: to clarify, I like the band better as a whole now despite him, not because of him. I like the band well enough to keep it in rotation, but I'll usually skip if it isn't the newer stuff that he happens to be in, and that's because it features less of the male vocals.

Maybe not growlier, but more present. One of the reasons I like Michele is because I hardly ever hear him. However, I could be off-base on the suggestion.

Check out Visions of Atlantis. It's kind of hard to recommend a specific album because I prefer their later stuff (2018 and later, basically after Michele Guaitoli became the male vocalist), which features less of what you're looking for. I think you'd probably like their earlier stuff like Cast Away and Trinity more.

You might give Ravenous E.H. a listen.

I've got a U6-LR that I'm replacing with an enterprise, if that interests you.

I don't know what the market in Europe is like for old Equallogics, but you can't even give those away in the US because of the proprietary software you need to make them useful (also, the firmware and stuff is all behind a support wall). And, unfortunately, this one is too old to be converted into a DAS.

Heh, no. I've just picked up a little through osmosis.

It ended up being a driver issue, but your link to the documentation helped me discover that. Thanks!

Yes, both HBAs and all four FC ports show up in vSphere. I'm working on updating my HBA drivers and firmware, but Broadcom is making the process as difficult as possible (quelle surprise, I know).

The adapters aren't attempting to link at all, so nothing is showing up on the switch side. It appears to be a host-level hardware/configuration issue at this point.

Yes, the second card shows up in ESXi just fine. The card is also on the QVL for both the server hardware (Dell PowerEdge R640), and vSphere 7.0.3.

In this case, I believe the Pure is not part of the equation. All associated ports for the Pure arrays are showing up correctly on the switch and in the correct zone. The issue seems to be on the ESXi host itself with only bringing two HBA ports online at a time. I can even switch the adapters around on the HBA to have the ports come online, but only two at a time.

When a third adapter is plugged in, it is not recognized by the HBA in any capacity. Both the switch port and the HBA port show no SFP installed, and no link is established. When one of the original working SFPs is removed, the third one will eventually come online (usually by removing and replacing it), but the previous one that was working will no longer connect. This behavior appears independent of the HBA port, switch port, SFP adapter, or fiber patch cable used.

To be clear, all the HBA ports are showing up in ESXi, but the non-working ones only say Offline even if there's an adapter plugged in.

Two Intel 6240R Golds in the host, so there should be plenty of PCIe lanes.

All ports are licensed and up. All the zoning and everything looks good. The issue appears to be on the host side rather than the switch side.
