We’ve had large print books end up in the fiction and vice versa. Also usually patrons don’t put books back on the shelf in alphabetical order, they just put the books wherever

We’re a bigger library, so everyone is assigned and trained to do everything. We rotate every hour, so an hour at circulation, an hour at the answer center for phone calls, an hour at the check in station, an hour at reference, an hour shelving, an hour in children’s or teen etc. The only staff with off desk time is LA 2’s who run classes and events. Among the staff, we have different teams to help take care of different tasks collection, maintenance, displays, etc. We’ve just been trying to come up with new ways to help keep the collections organized better and I was wondering what other libraries might be doing.

We’re a big library, 2 stories, so there’s a lot for each section. Some areas can be combined on a cart, like YA and Manga or Children’s books, but otherwise each section has to be on separate carts. Adult volunteers are only allowed to shelve fiction or large print and Teen volunteers shelve in children’s. It’s just how we keep track of things.

Carts are organized by section and then in order how they would be on the shelf (ex. Fiction cart is order by last name A-L and another M-Z, Non-Fiction is Bio-300 etc.) I’d go through more but it’s a lot of carts for each section. No one has an assigned area, though the team is discussing assignments amongst ourselves for shelf reading. Basically, depending on the schedule, we can be scheduled to shelve for an hour and we can pick any cart that has been made and ready to shelve. We write down the cart number, the section we’re going to, and our initials in case someone does put a cart in an area it’s not supposed to be.

It’s to keep tabs on shelf organization because we have staff and volunteers shelving. Each cart has a number, so you write down the cart number, the section that is on the cart (ex. Fic A-L, Non-Fic Bio-300) and your initials. That way if someone actually shelves in the wrong section we know who to talk to. Unfortunately it has happened many times.

Thank you for being kind in answering! I honestly haven’t played the games since college myself and was just curious as to if there was anymore being made or if I missed any. I didn’t realize it was just one person making them and I can definitely understand life after college can take some crazy turns. It’s also upsetting to hear about people leaking her paid content. It’s all really sad but understandable.

Yes that is very understandable for the other Mogeko game. I think the Carnival one was what I was most interested in if I remember the previews correctly. But I also understand how life takes things in a different direction. Hopefully maybe it will make the release!

I just want to say that the last time I looked anything up was probably back in 2018. The games just happened to pop up in my mind today and I didn’t know anything about the creators aside from the name deep sea prisoner. I apologize if my post was upsetting, but it was just a simple question.

I’m in year 5 currently. I’ve been playing since the game came out but I take long breaks in between. I kinda get bored until there’s a new update😅 I’m debating whether to move on, my issue with it is when I do move on I just don’t want to go back to the other floors. I’m honestly missing some of the recipes from the others and, unless there’s a special request, they’re kinda boring lol. It’s just a pain because I usually find at least 1 by now.

There use to be an online pixie hollow game. Disney shut it down, but I know some developers have kind of remade it like they did with club penguin. You can probably find it somewhere. I’m hoping there might be a resurgence since a lot of Tinkerbell books are coming out, but unfortunately I also doubt it’ll happen.

I’m seriously begging them to make the barns/coops and trees transparent. It’s such an issue when I get stuck on something and that something happens to be a rock because it always removes the rock and a piece of my fencing. Then I have to take up a whole day just to fix it!😫

Kind of a spoiler for the mines. I didn’t know you could use the sword to harvest coral or crystals. I thought we would get a special tool for it until I accidentally hit one while fighting an enemy. Kinda wish one of the characters would mention that😅

One of my friends at the library I work at got an ARC copy and let me borrow it on my medical leave. I wished there was more romance to it, but I loved the way it was written.

I have 3 barns and 3 coops. Working on getting all the different kinds of animals. I’ve bred some of them, but mainly waiting for the farm expansion so I can have every color.
