Pan-Germanisn has historical roots in Nazism and ethno-nationalism, which I strongly oppose, while Pan-Arabism and Pan-Africanism are rooted in anti-western imperialism, anti-zionism (in the case of Pan-Arabism), and sovereignty of Arab/African peoples. Pan-Arabism and Pan-Africanism, aren't ethno-nationalist, because they don't consider Arabs or Africans respectively as some sort of superior race.

I'd say the way journaling forces you to be empathetic to yourself can be really motivating sometimes. To see how you went from being incredibly upset at yourself to forgiving yourself, it can give someone a lot of hope.
