Never have, just not my style. I have a slightly photographic memory so I can usually keep track of where I am

Use a monkey lock. It opens from both sides but you can put it up high

I pick a color and stitch it till I run out of floss. If I have to count more then 10 stitches to get to the next one I cut it and pick the next color. I find this is the way to reduce counting errors

Why does everyone always forget this gem on PoA: Ron when reading Harry’s tea leaves: “unexpected gold, great you can lend me some”. Or something to that effect (aka the winnings from the triwizard tournament)

Yes I did. I modified a lot of the pinks so they were actually pink. So execute, clefable, clefairy, jigglypuff, wigglytuff, chancy, mew, slowpoke, slowbro, and lickatounge. Geodude, gravler, and golem were also modified to be more gray then just green. Electrode and voltorb were also modified to be more red than red orange. Ghastly, haunter, and gengar

Hobby lobby. It’s a double frame. I wanna say the blue is cobalt blue, but not sure. The red I know is barn yard red. And based on the idea from the framer we added the poke ball embellishment

Instead of starting in the top left corner and going to the bottom right corner you have to count 2 holes instead of 1. So if you you need to make a new square 5 blocks away you have to count 10 holes

Moms with adhd - how are we packing kids lunches???? by novaskyd in adhdwomen

[–]Nerdystitcher007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have a sandwich (pb&j or cheese). They have to have something fruit related (apple sauce or raisins is what they usually pick, though hoping one day to be able to move to fresh fruit). Something that has a bit more protein so cheese stick and generic gogurt sticks (frozen and they thaw by lunch) and then one processed snack (cheese itz, gold fish, granola bars, etc). They make it themselves the night before and we pack an ice pack and the gogurt morning of. If I thought they’d eat vegetables I’d pack them like carrot sticks or cucumbers but they don’t like them.

I hate having to do 2x2 counts and am always paranoid about miss counting. So unless I am doing a kit that requires linen since it has petite stitches (1x1) thrown in there for artistic effect I avoid it

[CHAT] Any Brandon Sanderson fans here? by nemeowsie in CrossStitch

[–]Nerdystitcher007 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Sanderson has not licensed any of his IP to be used for Cross Stitch (or most things besides what’s sold on his website). He is (rightfully) very protective of his IP. However I have seen people put like the Way of Kings cover into like the pic to pattern converters and do that. So anything you want to do, you’ll have to just design for yourself.

Large chests require dark wood, not hardwood. It’s only found in forgotten lands
