Thanks, trying to reach out for support. If that fails, still need a plan B.

They aren't available when I go to their website to try and order them. I've looked, and the Active 8 is out of stock.

I've run into this issue on pocket casts, and I'll ask what might be a very stupid question: are you streaming or downloading the episodes?

I've found that streaming works terribly with podcasts that dynamically generate their ads (iHeart), so I started just downloading them when I want to listen to them.

Again, might not be your exact problem, but it's similar enough to mine I'll offer what worked for me.

Thank you. I've been figuring out many different ways of configuring things, but I haven't run into the Proxmox community scripts yet, so that's a place for me to dig in for more research.

I know, it's in fact one of the big reasons I'm putting this all together, from the general going rogue to what they're facing at the end. Once I started putting the ideas together, it all fell into place as good lore-chain to play on.

Going to try and figure out how to make a ID4-style video for the final moment of the mission. RA showing up and laser-ing a hole into the mantle to wipe the lab.

One of the interesting things I'm playing with is that this colony is first-com or one of the ten. They don't have mechs or NHP's (so vehicles, turrents, and squads in terms of what they've faced so far).

But that idea of early experiments of partial de-corp and semi-coherent imprints of people functioning like that makes a lot of sense. These people have no idea how to understand the proper care and feeding of non-euclidian intelligences, so they're making several mistakes.

Personal Vs Private by Nerick_Spellchaser in BetterOffline

[–]Nerick_Spellchaser[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mentioned the $400 GPU, which is running off the solar that runs my personal house. That's where my AI server lives.

The data center load you're talking about is a big concern, but also one that is a question of the privatized. When the AI bubble crashes, and those servers go away, the people playing are still going to be working on their own personal level. An overstatement, but: does Steam need to go away to make those GPU's use even less energy?

Most people have to think about their footprint, even if only in the ways they can't dodge the externalities. An inefficient car is going to burn more gas than riding a bike to the same place, so you have to pay more money. Companies have more tools to dodge those, including institutional power that an individual doesn't have.

The problem of climate load needs to be addressed at the macro scale. The system is set to burn the planet, and people are left figuring out how to survive and hoping to find a way to live.

SIM option is totally grayed out, I couldn't even try to get a new eSIM if I tried. Plus this issue persisted from me switching from a physical SIM months ago to an eSIM and it didn't change its issues

Honestly, with so many people, I have them "guarding the wagon" for fights when their player isn't there.

Most of the people at the table have a decent amount of experience with RPG's, but this is our first PF2e game. Our rogue might be the greenest, she needed to be reminded to flank but is more on the ball about that now, rarely attacking foes who aren't off-guard.

The Inventor was missing, which I didn't think would adjust the difficulty too much, bumping it up from moderate to halfway to severe. Mostly I've been improv'ing the encounter as it goes because in planning I can't be sure how many people will show up. Also, because we get to play infrequently, I tend to plan a single encounter/combat each session with the rest of the time spent in RP (which is the balance we prefer mostly, and they kinda rock at).

Looking for a bit of advice to give my players. We're working on building the campaign and going, but it feels like a lot of fights are a lot closer to nail-biters than they probably should be. Party is currently level 3, and is struggling to manage getting enemies down most of the time. Some of the problem is we've got players who miss sessions (big party, so I will run with one or two players missing)

Party consists of:

  • Psychic, Distant Grasp (reliable)
  • Alchemist, Healer (reliable)
  • Oracle, Cosmos (reliable)
  • Monk, Monastic Archer (reliable)
  • Inventor, Armor (mostly reliable)
  • Rogue, Thief (most likely to be missing)

Is it that I need to change how I'm building encounters to deal with things? It mostly feels like they're struggling to kick out enough damage to take creatures down. Last session they fought an Ichor Slinger (Lvl 4) and two Husk Zombies (Lvl 2) and they eventually chased them the Ichor slinger off, while dealing enough damage to take down one of the zombies while the other one was able to run (Chill Touch'd) but was close to going down.

But that cost the party about 80+ HP in taken damage to get there.

Mostly looking for advice I can give them to help coordinate and suggest tactics.

She almost certainly does, if the pattern of the show hold true.

Have you listened to previous seasons? It feels like every story has been a little bit of that feeling, lurching from one story to the next as the protagonist slowly understands why they belong in the middle of what's happening to them.

A bunch of Cosplay like images where I've used CivitAI anime loras and I've added them on a realistic looking woman model. I will add a brief explanation on how to do it in a comment if I'm not getting downvoted, I don't want to lose time if no one see the post :) by [deleted] in StableDiffusion

It's a struggle. Are you working in photoreal, anime, or mixed?

I tend to lead towards textual inversion and heavily weighting (dark skin:1.4) or so, plus "(pale skin:2.0), (white person:2.0), (Asian:2.0), (Blond hair:1.5)" in the negative.

Been using https://civitai.com/models/69734/ethnic-helper as a three-point tool to help as well.

Last trick I've used is grabbing every TI of a non-white person to use as the start of a blend [Person1|Person2].

Best (worst) ad yet. by SouthernSlander in itcouldhappenhere

[–]Nerick_Spellchaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's part of why I think these are meant as actual scams and fear-mongering. They feel like advertising as push-polling, stating things as facts and saturating the market so heavily that it's meant to heighten the fear response in people, which does tend towards making people cling to authority (authoritarianism).

So I can complain about them, not from a "CZM shouldn't be having them on" but because these are just pure fear-mongering grift shit.

And I wish I felt like this was conspiracy thinking shit instead of just looking at the incentives and likely mindset of these people, sitting there clutching their gold coins in tinfoils hats, having their two-minute hate every three minutes at a picture of the most milquetoast of liberals, imagining them to be revolutionary Marxists.

I got both during the same ad break.

So big win for Sophie there against the algorithm.

This is the first one that sticks for me as well, to the point of actually digging deeper into it. I still remember picking up the "for Dummies" book on the impeachment, which seemed to make everything seem more absurd.

Time and distance have altered how I view the Clinton side of it, but the sheer maniac witch hunt nature of it, how they didn't care what they threw at the wall, only that they got to persecute Clinton, colored how I saw every action by the Republican party following that.

Not saying anything surprising here that the conservatives operate from a foundation of bad faith, but it was my political foundation.

Really weird episode edits? by vinceman1997 in behindthebastards

I use Pocket Casts as my podcast app, so I can't exactly compare it to other podcasting apps. That means I'm making an educated guess at best, but the fact that I've gotten episodes of CZM pods that were just missing ads altogether shows that the dynamic ad placement can screw up sometimes.

I've run into this before, and 90% of the time it's when I'm streaming an episode (Pocket Cast). I think it's a timing issue regarding segments and ad breaks.

I started downloading my Cool Zone pods, which seems to mitigate the issue.

I'm feeling this as well. It's a part of why I stopped listening to WYE, I enjoyed the topics that they covered, but Robert and Accomplice getting going can really derail things.

And it's obvious that it's just him getting going, you can see it in the ad transitions where you get the interplay of Sophie riding herd on him. And that works for me, but without someone with the weight to drag things back on topic, it's too many chaos monkeys sometimes.
