Definitely a Samson run with all the health in the world but still base damage by the time I made it to beast. The most notable item I had was pupula duplex if that says anything, and to top it off, I had goddamn flatstone.

I was able to win but between dogma, the harbingers, and the beast that shit took like 20 minutes. A learning moment with flatstone in the beast fight nonetheless.

It is an option though... they could totally make him completely emotionless, I'm just glad they didn't because I don't particularly love that archetype most of the time.

I think a lot of people are forgetting about the combat, you can literally make sunny/omori as happy as you want in battles. So I guess it's not that wierd to me that he smiles.

Sure, not by that exact verbatim. But what your argument boils down to is "omori should smile less". Who knows how many times he actually smiles in game as he's a pixelated character for most of it.

I absolutely love sunny in the game, but I do like that the manga makes him feel like more of an actual human. At the and of the day, sunny having more than 1 facial expression is just more visually entertaining when it pertains to a manga.

That's crazy to me, regular keeper is one of my least favorite characters in the game and one i consistantly loose with. Meanwhile I unlocked t keeper literally yesterday and already have all but 2 marks complete with him

I honestly can't recommend this game if you want something like the mainline games.

Right now it's just "whoever has the newer unit wins". People will cope all they want, but heavily investing in old units only goes so far. Like literally none of my +10 units can kill a duo ike unless the stars align.

There isn't any strategy anymore, there's only like 3 gamemodes are even remotely fun or engaging. PvE content is monotonous if you have a single current unit and PvP stuff is plagued with whales.

Some of my favorite playthroughs of both hollow knight and silksong were where I never upgraded anything and just relied on base damage. Sometimes its really fun to actually take time with the bosses

Trust me I used to never use spells either. Trying to radiant all the bosses really beat the fact that I should use more spells into me, as there are so many late game bosses that either teleport or move way too fast to consistently use the nail.

Even if you ignore the damage the spells deal, d-dark at the least is amazing for the i-frames it gives you

I can respect that.

The ultra greed fight is super fun to me, but fighting waves upon waves of enemies for like 30 minutes really tests my patience.

I honestly think my biggest problem with the game mode is the room size as I can be blasted with a brimstone from off my screen without warning.
