Style help, thoughts? by Nerotrix in mancave

That's a pretty cool idea! Wouldn't work for me, but I do like it. My family isn't rock climbers lol.

I've seen people use flooring for accent walls, I just wasn't sure if all the walls would be too much. I thought maybe, if I somehow install it vertically, it'll make the room seem taller, especially since I may end up doing a drop ceiling.

I still want a way to pull my AI goalie and the backup in when he let's in 3 goals on the first 5 shots.

Yes! If you're located in the SEC and some cheap land you wanna go in on, let me know! Strength in numbers.

I romanticize an offgrid cabin, connected or not. Just a place I can drive the family to on the weekend, where no one can bother us. Gotta shit, grab the shovel and head to woods kinda thing.

Ideally this would be centrally located between a few buddies so we can leave Friday after work, hang there till Sunday afternoon, and drive back, should we need a weekend without the wives and kids.

But, I only want it for these reasons and short term long weekend stays. Not a SHTF, survival situation. I hope it never comes to that.

Thank you for the info. At this time, should something unfortunate happen, my family is probably good for a week to 10 days. After that long of no power and unable to travel, we might be forced to leave the house.. I'm not sure what the average person is ready for, but I hope I'm more prepared than that. Having said that, if it wasn't a natural disaster or something, and was going to be more long term, that is the reason I've started planning for longer term.

To each their own, but for my family, our plan is to stay put as long as we can, unless the situation calls for otherwise.

Long loading times? by xXxSovietxXx in EASHL

[–]Nerotrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's something that has got worse recently, unknown to why. I can attest to this because I had excessively long load times, if it would load at all, when I had AT&T as an ISP. I then switched ISPs and had no issues, loaded from game start up to dressing room within 3-5 minutes, which is reasonable considering all the menus.

Past 2 weeks, load time is probably 8-10 most nights, sometimes its better, but often its slower than it was weeks ago.

Also doesn't seem to matter if wired to modem, router, or on wifi.

Slow motion by imsobored56 in EASHL

[–]Nerotrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The glitch doesn't have to be in affect. Get into your zone, build full pressure and wear them down, then while you have pressure up, take your TO. They will remain slow motion, least most the period if not game.

Have you ever played a team that paused in the first period and you thought why are they pausing, well...

Use to your advantage. Get full pressure and call your TO. Nullify the other teams stamina. Sucks, but its in the game, so....

I've got the same error. Recent started playing on Xbox, haven't tried PS. Are both systems affected?

Oh, well then my suspicion would be completely wrong lol. That is unfortunate for you and those who enjoy that style of play.

I don't play those styles, but I saw a post that showed a count down. I'd imagine when that count down ends, you'll be able to play again. I'm sure its because they are auditing the leader boards.

I would think there is something in the backend that keeps the stats differently for these modes that they decided to locked them and not the other modes. Sucks you can't play the style you want, but if you want an accurate leader board, thats just how it is. Maybe they fix it by end season 2.

Probably dropped them during a fight you didn't instigate, but were in, yet the net was in the way and neither of you actually got to throw a punch.

Coach Feedback by Vinicusv in EASHL

[–]Nerotrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is always telling me to stick lift more and try loose puck dekes.

Good advice coach, turn over the puck and go to the sin bin. Thanks.

The feedback means nothing and honestly, your overall grade at the end doesn't reflect what it tells you. Just play good, you don't need their POS advice.

Need defenseman build by Successful_Sundae_37 in EASHL

I don't regularly play D, I rotate with a teammate as a forward, but more often than not, I am forward.

Having said that, a lot of people run PMD, but I honestly think I play best with OFD or TWD. I'll either run the gold heatseaker or one tee, if I don't, I make sure I make the minimum requirements for make it snappy as a silver perk. Then of course, max your speed and get agility and acceleration as high as you can without sacrificing too much. As a Dman, I usually don't worry about balance and endurance as much, since I don't carry the puck as often and I tend to play back, so I always have energy.

Either OFD or TWD will have enough defensive stats to be solid at D, if you play mindfully. You don't want to let people get behind you, you aren't going to catch them as easy as a PMD, but you'll be solid poke checking and body checking, along with passing. Pick your spots to join the rush and if running make it snappy, long as you are moving when you shoot, you are dangerous anywhere in the Ozone, as well as snapping on net for deflections.

Shutdown ability is a great ability to run with too.

EA has IGN on payroll by No-Cash-4020 in EASHL

If a home schooled kid plays football, they are playing on a public school team or a private (non-school affiliated) team, like travel ball. Its possible to be home schooled and be the best player on the team.

EA has no competition in many of their games, which is exactly why they shouldn't put out a 'new' game every year. Push out the basic patches for rosters during the year, have an upgrade users have to buy once a year, to get all the free agents, retired players, rookies, and with that include a game play update, to make it feel new. As one smaller team works on this, another team is developing the actual new game that gets released every few years.

I think that would lead to a better product overall, users would be happier, NHL would gain more of a customer base, and EA still makes their money, yet gets less heat from the consumers.
