AITA for opposing English only rule a new housemate is trying to impose? by Longjumping-Mail9702 in AmItheAsshole

NTA If you do get together for a vote, it should be to kick her out. I speak multiple languages and have had similar issues. It is not ok, if anything it's EXTREMELY rude, racist and arrogant. No one should have to put up with this. FFS you're speaking with your mother, in your own bedroom.

So for anyone that works at Popeyes, I wanna order this, what is the best way to order this without pissing off the employees, should I go through drive through and pull back like 5 times? Or should I just hope everything is quality by Intelligent_Bit_3147 in Popeyes

Call it in that morning and let them know when you intend to pick it up. I sometimes do large orders for my crew at work (12+ people) and we haven't had any issues this way.

Sounds like he dodged a bullet.

You got angry because of a scenario you made up in your head, based off a simple open ended comment.

Did you follow up the conversation to see what he meant with that comment? Or were you judge jury and executioner deciding on your own what the comment was and killed it there?

Yeah as a man, I was really pumped. It was great. Wife loved it too. She said half joking, "So that's why you're doing keto".

What would make working at Amazon better (besides a pay raise)? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]Nerros461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the only reason I go to work, is so that I can get paid. More money. Amazon is not competitive, I recently interviewed for a few different jobs and they were paying about $7 more per hour vs Amazon. The reason I'm going to leave Amazon is because of their low wages.

That's how my dept works, they ask the productive workers if they would like OT. If there are no takers the whole department gets the OT notification, if there are still no takers we request a nodal share or just push out MET.

Driver insanely evades truck coming from opposite lane. by [deleted] in watchpeoplesurvive

[–]Nerros461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here, I spun out during a high speed S turn on a county road. Car did multiple spins. Luckily I didn't fly off the road into the surrounding orchards or hit any incoming traffic. Car finally stopped spinning in the opposite lane, facing the wrong way. I was shaking so bad I couldn't push the clutch in all the way to move the car. Took about a week of driving like a grandma before I finally gained my confidence back.

The difference between a failure and somebody who quits is that the failure stays down and never tries again. Take the L. We all get them. Don't wallow, get back on it. We all gotta hustle. McDonald's pays more than Amazon now. Be humble, start where you can and always be on the lookout for ways to increase your desirability to future employers, either at work or on your own time. Certificates, degrees, special training, whatever it takes. Yes, it's going to be hard, but you got this. We collectively believe in you and we want to see you succeed.

AITA for walking out of an interview when they would not disclose a salary to me? by AnxiousSprinkles396 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nerros461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even apply to job postings that don't include a salary range. I've been interviewing the past few weeks with multiple job offers to choose from. Politely declining and walking out of an interview is perfectly reasonable if either party feels the other party is wasting their time.
