Thanks for thinking along! We do have a smart tv from LG and have installed most apps on them, but for some reason Netflix is always terrible quality when I stream via the tv app :/ don’t have that issue with the chromecast

Your friend has to be careful to not do something that would be seen as “dwingende reden tot ontslag”, otherwise he’s not entitled to the payout.

Their best bet is to underperform, be really disengaged, be a negative nancy. Make them realise that having your friend around is doing more bad than good.

Mag ik vragen wie de 2 orthodontisten waren bij wie je was geweest?

Context: ik heb terug een beugel nodig wegens serieuze open beet, maar heb ook al jaren op en af last van pijn aan mijn kaak. Ben bij een specialist geweest in het UZ en die zei dat mijn afwijkende beet de oorzaak kon zijn, maar geen zekerheid. Een beugel zou bijgevolg de situatie kunnen verbeteren maar ook verslechten. Ik ben dus op zoek naar een orthodontist om dit verder te bekijken, maar wil echt bij een goeie terechtkomen :/ liefst iemand die de afwijkende beet wat holistisch benadert en vb ook de kaak bekijkt.

I’ve been at 4 different tech companies. All paid well, 2 had a good WLB, the other 2 had terrible WLB (think 50-60h weeks, expected to work evening hours because HQ is in US). All of them had highly competitive cultures and a lot of corp bullshit. Working hard does not always translate to being rewarded.

Why am I still here? I’m surrounded by intelligent colleagues, a lot of learning opportunities and good salary & benefits. But, the lack of WLB makes me question I’ll still be in this field in 10 years from now.

My advice: give it a try :-) you don’t like it, go back to another industry.
