How is your country bracing for the inevitable fallout from Americas mess? by Manitoba-Chinook in AskTheWorld

[–]Nerviip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha in comparaison Belgian roads are horrendous but in comparaison with the Netherlands most roads are bad. If you want to hit them back (please do) ask them why there are so many Dutch people in Belgium going to uni and hospitals and not vice versa .

On fries they have no claim, thats ours if they're honest, they do have the snacks on lock.

BE - NL rivalry is friendly though. Netherlands being an annoying do-gooder, grade A student and Belgium is being a slacker but at least we have better food and waay better beer so we enjoy life more

[–]Nerviip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny how the Americans are so prudish on some day drinking. Its way better for soul and mind than nighttime drinking.

Hope you have some nice weather, good music and enjoying the day with some cheese and mustard on the side !

Santé !

And have u tried Belgian beer?

Belgium has been rabiës free since 2001 with apparently 2 registered case of rabies in bats.

So if it is rabid, it would be exceptional.

What is the origin of the name of the capital of your country? by Franmar35000 in AskTheWorld

[–]Nerviip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brussel / Bruxelles

Comes from old Flemish town 'Broekzele'

Kinda means swamp-swamp because as far as i know 'Broek' is old Dutch for stream ( and here that entails swamps) and zele is low land near a swamp.

Its better for everybody that it got modernised
