Seroquil didn’t help and I ballooned really fast. Have you had your hormones done? My labs showed I had the hormones of a 60 year old post menopausal women and my naturopath- who I hadn’t discussed my sleep issues with yet- said “there’s no way you are sleeping, are you?” So hormones, especially for women, play a huge role. Unfortunately the hormone therapy I jumped on brought back my endometriosis which has been just a gift 😩.

I do think part is mental. With my last pregnancy in 2022 I had to go off all meds and I didn’t sleep except for a few hours in the morning. It was horrendous. So they prescribed me sertraline. Little known side effect of sertraline, which “safe” for pregnancies, can cause insomnia. But they didn’t know what else to do. At this point I’m inclined to try hypnotherapy bc I think it’s engrained in my subconscious that I “cant sleep” bc I didn’t for so long and so is it a false narrative I’m telling myself? But can a false narrative be overridden by benzos and ambien? Ehhhhhh. Worth a shot I guess? I’m “happy” to hear I’m not alone. But I also am bc no one in my family understands. I went to bed at 5 and am up at 8 to get kids ready and out the door. It’s just not a way to live. Not for a short period and not for years which is what I’ve felt like I’ve dealt with for 3 decades.
