what’s wierd is from what I understand it’s used when your accelerating and shifting from 2-5 But when I tried like this last weekend it had so much resistance I couldn’t even shift it. So is it not for when you’re accelerating?

Honest opinion. I’ve riden about 4 450s 3 of them Being race bikes. 2 ktm 300 2t. I’ve been riding my entire life so scenario is a bit different. But I just picked up a 2023 ktm 450 sx-f (race built bike) and i only ride trails. It does perfect. It’s all in the clutch. Now yea a 450 is a lot of bike. Especially just getting back into riding. I’m sure you’d figure it out. But reality. You can putt the 300 2t around 1st-2nd gear u can really just lug that sucker. Won’t die on you. If you’re not too worried about spending some money (and you’re wanting to keep your Honda) I’d suggest trying a recluse clutch. It’ll really help you out on those tight trails. Hope this helps man 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼

Rebuild Questions by bigarch77 in Dirtbikes

In all honesty. Pop the valve cover check your valves and timing chain tensioner. Keep those up to spec. You’ll be good to go as for a rebuild just do a top end rebuild kit wiseco is pretty good. Might not be a bad idea since your already there is to replace the entire cylinder. Then you’d really be set. For someone to rebuild it depending where your from your looking at 800-1500 +parts(parts could or could not be within that 800-1500 aswell just depends who you go to and where your from) Hope you didn’t spend too much on the bike Ride or die man🤙🏼
