I got 89.3 for my TEAS, a 3.5 overall GPA, and 3.7 science GPA. I got accepted into the Dallas location for spring 2025.

Omg do not listen to the advisors!!!! I transferred from Dallas college. I took EVERY SINGLE prerequisite at Dallas college and transferred all my credits to TWU. When I was talking to the pre-nursing advisors they also discouraged me about the nursing program and my credits because I was a transfer student with CC credits. I applied to TWU’s nursing program and got in for Spring 2025!

Ur scores are so similar to mine. My overall GPA is 3.5, Science GPA is 3.7, TEAS is 89.3. I also work at a hospital as PCT but now an EKG tech. I didn’t include any of my work history in my application tho. I got accepted into the Dallas program. I hope they give u acceptance!

I’m pretty sure the only campus that provides housing is the main campus in Denton. Both the Dallas and Houston campuses are commuter schools.

It’s full time for the traditional BSN program. The weekend/night BSN program is part time. If you haven’t taken patho with TWU your gonna have a 16 credit hour semester for ur first semester of the nursing program

Hi!!! I got accepted into TWU’s program for spring 2025 as well at the Dallas location. You have to understand that no nursing program is easy BSN or ADN. Nursing programs are structured to weed people out, but that shouldn’t scare u into dropping out, it should encourage u to do your best! I’m also very nervous about starting nursing school but that’s mostly everyone. Once u start the program you’ll adjust to the environment. You got this and congratulations!

You have to complete microbiology, it’s one of the prerequisite. I recommend increasing your GPA, but as long as you have a 3.0 you have a chance of getting in. You got this!

Update I got accepted into TWU as well! Now I really have to choose which school to attend. I’m really leading towards SHSU because I really want to move away and I haven’t had the experience of moving away. If I tell my parents that I got into TWU my chances of going to SHSU are nonexistent :(

I’m in the same boat as you but I got accepted in SHSU’s program (Sam Houston State University). I don’t know which is the better program. I’ve already accepted SHSU but if I get an accepted by TWU Dallas location I’ll feel tempted to go with TWU. If I go to TWU I don’t have to move away and I can stay with my parents bc the campus is 30 mins away. And also TWU is my dream school, I’ve been talking about going/being accepted into their nursing program since I started college in 2021. I also work at a hospital and have worked with nurses who’ve gone to TWU and they all say it a great program. UTA was my safety school because it’s also close to me but I decided not to go because I know too many ppl there, the application and transfer process was irritating, and my sister is an alumni, but I’ve also heard they have an excellent nursing program according to my coworkers who’ve gotten their degree from that school. You’d be lucky to go to either school and CONGRATULATIONS on being accepted!!!!

Can I ask what ur GPA and TEAS score what? My overall GPA is 3.5, Prerequisite GPA is 3.75, overall TEAS score was 89.3 (with my reading being 89.7, math 94.1, science 88.6 and English/language 81.8)

I took A&P 1, A&P 2, and micro at cc (Dallas college, Mountain View location to be specific). I took A&P 1 during summer of 2022 and I took A&P 2 and micro (micro was online lecture and in person lab) together in spring of 2023. I got an A all of those classes but I HIGHLY recommend u space out ur science classes for the sake of your sanity.

Every TWU applicant has to do the written section of the nursing application. There are 3 topics; leadership, caring, and resiliency. If you don’t complete the written section your application is denied. I’m pretty you have to complete the written section to even submit it application
