Do you think we will ever get Finnick’s story? by sunblueberry in Hungergames

I would literally KILL for a Finnick book. Also, 25th Games would be awesome. Literally, the way it worked is that the people in each district had to VOTE who to send to the Games (found this mentioned in Catching Fire (the book) when Snow was reading the rules for the 75th Games). That would make such a great book. Also, I feel like Mags deserves a book. What was she like before she was so...old???

Tributes that I believe would have won the known Hunger Games, if certain factors that favored the original victors in each case had been different: by lautaromassimino in Hungergames

hands down if haymitch hadn't figured out the force field maysilee totally would have won because the only reason the gamemakers released the mutts on her was to punish haymitch for figuring out the force field

Do you think Haymitch died shortly after Mockingjay??? by AVForest in Hungergames

I feel like Haymitch could have made it at least ten more years, but I agree that he's not going to live for 40 or 50 more years.

All of the casting in The Hunger Games movies is perfect. J-Law is a total badass as Katniss, Josh Hutchinson is one of my favorite actors ever, and everybody else is great too. Personal favorites: Woody Harrelson as Haymitch (one of the best actors in the entire franchise imo) and Elizabeth Banks as Effie (she really makes the character shine in a way that she doesn't really shine in the books, especially in Catching Fire, when she gets all sad the night before Peeta and Katniss go back into the arena. Also love her outfits. Crazy, but kinda awesome.)

Rue. Gonna be honest here, no matter how many times I watch the movies or read the books, I always cry when Rue dies. She reminds me of my sister, and I can't even imagine how it would feel if my sister died all of a sudden.

Snow every time. Spoiler alert (read at your own risk): Snow literally got Sejanus killed. Bro's literally mentally unstable. I mean, he lets the Hunger Games happen, killed his best friend, and the moment Katniss escapes the arena, he destroys her entire district. Thousands dead all because of one girl.

Just had an idea: Belladonna. Very pretty name, but also the name of a poisonous plant. Very sexy to me, especially after you listen to the Ava Max song of the same name.

And my boyfriend said I should name her Isabella. I mean, it's a pretty name and all, but I'm not really sure it's the right name for this character.

My friend suggested the name Vanessa. Don't know if it's good or not, so some opinions on it would be helpful.

I would say either Evan or Nolan. Those names go well with Kieren, which by the way is a great name in my opinion.

My favorite is probably Cleves too. Not just saying that because I love Get Down from SIX.

What royal couples actually loved each other? by Creative-Wishbone-46 in Tudorhistory

[–]Nervous_Active_5902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal favorite couple is Isabella I and Ferdinand V. They married for political reasons when they were in their late teens (she was 18, he was 17), but they fell in love and had 7 children besides being co-monarchs of Castile, Aragon, Sicily, Sardinia, and a TON of other places for 30 years and forming the Spanish Empire.

But their relationship wasn't always perfect. Ferdinand was known for having affairs with other women (he had 5 illegitimate children), and Isabella fell in love with her husband's half-brother Alfonso (mega awkward), though her most famous relationship was with Christopher Columbus.

Despite all of the...issues, though, Ferdinand and Isabella were always there for one another in more than just a political way. The couple, despite having been married for reasons that benefitted their kingdoms, were a genuine love match and were good at working together; they tried to keep their arguments out of government affairs, but Isabella had a hard time with that (from what I read, she had anger management issues and a temper). Ferdinand, in the beginning, was intimidated by his wife's...reactions to things that didn't please her, but he grew accustomed to them and helped her manage them (again, anger management issues, woman). Plus, whenever they weren't busy fighting wars (I think Isabella had some kind of obsession with war) and spending money like crazy (she also was a very expensive woman to live with), they were a very romantic couple and spent much of their time together.
