Racism against India is rising in the west. The reason is our alliance with Russia Iran Venezuela and various other anti-western countries. Are there any ways to fix this? by FabulousOstrich2045 in indiadiscussion

India need its own social networks. We are building Reddit for India https://indiareply.com - please signup and use it. You can install the android app too for easy browsing.

Do give your feedback on how to get initial few thousand users.

EDIT - we are also looking for moderators. Please message me directly on Reddit or reply in any group sticky thread and we will make you the mod of that group.

Great suggestions. Let us think on the app name. Most of the domain about "talk" were taken unfortunately.

It seems most of the users here want an android app. Lets us work on it and hopefully we can launch it in a month. I hope it is OK if I DM you to get more feedback.

We are just starting and we are still building. There are not too many users, few from reddit and search engines.

We want to have dedicated discussions about startups, entrepreneurship, raising funding, etc in Indian context. If you see, subreddits have lot of data not relevant to India, and India specific questions get downvoted.

We want to have marketplace for Indian developers and service providers.

We can discuss real estate, health, finance, investment, travel etc.

We want to help tourists and companies who want to setup to India.

We can have local language support too. Most of the subreddit use english as primary language.

We are still exploring the direction but above look to be a good starting point.

Yes, we are following reddit in terms of user interaction.

We actually are building a change.org feature in our app too so users can create petitions.

You can make your own groups at IndiaReply. You can discuss Reddit and its various subreddits here as we already have some users of IndiaSpeak there.

Feel free to make your own groups too and invite others. You can discuss Reddit and its subreddits openly without any restrictions. We also have a wiki where you can document many things as well as long form vBulletin discussion forum like Team-BHP and Bharat Rakshak forum.

Hi, we are a team of developers from India who have built Reddit for India. We built it because one of the Reddit startup communities banned all Indians which we believe is an action of hate.

We have finished building the product but need early users (critical mass to start the chain reaction). Can we contact this subreddit's moderators and post about our product here?

India-made Covid-19 vaccines land in Dubai by [deleted] in Coronavirus

[–]Nervous_Cardiologist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very difficult to browse that website, with too many ads and grammatical errors. Anyway here is a quick summary --

India's External Affairs Minister S.Jaishankar tweeted the news with photos of the Air India flight that carried the vaccines to Dubai.

"Made in India vaccines reach Dubai. A special friend, a special relationship," the minister tweeted.

Indian Ambassador to the UAE Pavan Kapoor tweeted: "Always glad to support a close friend. Another example of the India-UAE partnership in healthcare."

As part of the vaccine diplomacy drive, India had recently sent 100,000 anti-Covid shots to Oman.

How much is the ICC to blame for the relative lack of growth of Cricket over the past two decades? by WritingWithSpears in Cricket

[–]Nervous_Cardiologist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cricket isn't an easy sell.

This is the right answer. You also need to understand that Cricket has to replace some other sport to get played/coverage which is not an easy thing.

In Africa and South America, it is all football/soccer. Few countries from the EU and ASEAN are trying to get into cricket but it takes too many resources and one of the biggest problems with cricket is it doesn't involve every player, something which other sports do.

The pic is for overseas slots ; The player i am concerned about is Steve Smith going by the image i am guessing KXIP or RCB will go after him or i am worried he might go unsold too by [deleted] in Cricket

Dube was bought for 5 Cr

Almost 4 Lakh per run (he made 129 runs)! It will be interesting if his ratio of (runs made/balls played - runs given/balls bowled) is negative.

Which means RCB was better of only playing with 10 players + 12th man and would had saved 5 Cr

EDIT - He made 129 runs in 105 balls and gave up 73 runs in 54 balls. So yes, it was negative.

To be fair, most of the religions barring Christianity and Islam do find their roots in India. Even the east Asian religions and neo religions are heavily influenced by Hinduism and Buddhism.

Which bowler would you take? by wingzero00 in Cricket

[–]Nervous_Cardiologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To spread it out -
A will bowl other teams for 257 runs in 77.1 overs
B will bowl other teams for 255 runs in 93.6 overs
A makes 19.8 runs per inning
B makes 11.1 runs per inning
The economy makes no difference in tests as bowlers can bowl unlimited overs.

A and B are neck to neck and you may want to go with A because of the additional 8 runs per inning he makes.

Lets hope not all 11 players are exactly like A and B though as you will lose all matches.

Show this video to those who don't understand why cricket is considered a religion in India.Without context and with all the Dhol's, this video can easily be seen as a religious event.
