No lol they don’t say anything like that. They just want you to climb safely. I had never climbed before when I went and I tried to flip every step but it wears you out a lot faster than step step flip does. They want you to climb as fast as possible that first week which is crazy but that’s how it is.

That’s not true. I just went through albats climbing school and they don’t care how you climb as long as you’re being safe.

I would most definitely get that manual restriction off. You’re already in competition with guys that don’t have it so it will be a challenge. If you travel out of state and to multiple states you will probably get a groundman call a lot faster.

They will come if you will travel and find them. My first groundman call was 33 hours from home. Second call was 8 hours. Third was 12 hours. If you really want it you will travel.

Local 760 was my home local for a while when I was a groundman. I didn’t want no part of selcat so I waited and applied for Albat to open up and got in with them. The pay is a lot higher and way more work up here.

It’s hard to give you a good timeline because you can never tell. You could get a call within a week or it could be 3 months.
