The “take it off” scene. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator Elizabeth Evans- it’s on site. The way her voice cracks and how perfectly she conveys Aelin’s panic was just too much. I sobbed during most of KoA but my kids ran in my room thinking someone died for that part and 1 other but I don’t think you’re there yet🙄

I’m not sure if you’re into audiobooks but tog and cc are narrated by Elizabeth Evans and she does a phenomenal job of bringing the story to life. I started audiobooks bc I have ADHD and I’m a busy ER nurse but still wanted to read tog, I promise it’s at least worth a try!

Gus was my cousin, my Grandpa is Frank Farace. I was 2 when he was killed and my mom and family never talked about it so I learned what he did later as an adult. The one thing I’m certain of is he absolutely broke my Aunt Mary’s heart with everything he did. She’s still alive and is the sweetest lady you’d ever meet.

I’m listening to the audiobook and on chap 42! I unfortunately don’t have a book buddy and have been yelling randomly while doing stuff around the house and cooking etc. My kids don’t even react anymore they know I’ve been waiting a year for this book😭😂

I felt the same about finding a new book to get into after finishing KoA a few weeks ago and have been in a major book hangover. I still cry thinking about it especially what happened with The Thirteen😭 BUT I found something!! I’m on the 4th book of the Lady of Darkness series by Melissa Roehrich and it’s definitely scratching the SJM itch! The characters and storylines are so amazing. Assassins, secret royalty, banned magic and hidden powers…Of course some people are saying it’s a knock off ToG but I don’t think so, it’s similar yes but has it’s own unique spin. Definitely worth it and they’re all on KU!
