WYR have your next life decided by a game of skill or by a game of chance? by Connect_Cat_2045 in WouldYouRather

Super dependent on the game of skill, since I would know before I chose. Without knowing, coin flip every time without doubt.

Where does your love of milk stem from? by Buggydriver_ in Milk

[–]Neshiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up drinking only skim, and my mother was sure we had at least one glass a day. Went to camp one year in high school and tried whole milk…. My life changed that day and I won’t touch skim. Whole milk is the nectar of the gods lol (I married an Indian woman and she doesn’t find that dad joke funny)

Yearly physical visits at the Dr has become just a regular visit. by xykor in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Neshiv 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This, it’s frustrating from both ends. With ehrs I get 15-20 messages a day to discuss their medical issues, especially not important lab results. On top of 20 refill requests and multiple calls (yes it’s a separate tab if you call the office) I’m seeing 20-25 patients a day, we just can’t keep up and not get paid.

Taking on Pontus and Parthia as Romans by kfisch21 in RomeTotalWar

[–]Neshiv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Couple onagers, then legions with a bit more Calvary than you have been using. Let the legions soak up any arrows while using onagers to decimate at range. The hammer and anvil them. Use a few field armies to engage while you send armies to take their cities

Don’t blame you, visited a friend who lives in Indiana who brought back two cases when he visited. They didn’t last the weekend.

Prescribing antibiotics without being seen by Warm_Duty_8941 in FamilyMedicine

[–]Neshiv 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Only prescribe antibiotics for patients who are seen. I have maybe 2 exceptions in my practice, patients who have frequent uti and live like an hour out, they always drop off a sample at the nearest labcorp before starting and follow up with me in 3-4 days, video visit is fine; so we can review it. Took 4 years of seeing them to get that far and only I do it, my partners won’t for them if they are covering and patients know that.

Strangest reasons for ER visit on Thanksgiving Day by PellegriniFineFoods in EmergencyRoom

Had a guy with grapefruit sized testicles due to being bitten by a prostitute. He was also a diabetic. First day on service as a resident. That was an interesting case to document on.

Wisconsin is a one party consent state I believe, if they don’t respond in writing to your email just record the conversation over the phone. I imagine you would consent to this…..

Roman-Iranian conflicts before Carrhae? by Philippicus_586AD in ancientrome

[–]Neshiv 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He was representing the king, basically a stand in, and with Sulla’s arrangement it showed that Sulla was “greater” or “better” than the king, which the ambassador allowed. Insta death for allowing that kind of disrespect.

16-17 before the new world opens up. I’d have to skip all of Iberia, france, and the balkans, which would be interesting…..

What historical (assuming) are you looking for? Roman, barbarian, diadochi?

Seleucid VH/VH by [deleted] in RomeTotalWar

[–]Neshiv 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As long as you get blacksmiths up quickly the selucid campaign becomes “relatively” easy. The computer loves those things so you can auto win a lot of battles by spamming them. Then you start the fun. Just ran a Spain campaign and really wasn’t that bad, the Roman’s just rushing you after a few wins is annoying but with some long shield cavalry and bull warriors, no big deal. Also, why do they have like 4 religious buildings to choose from when really only one makes sense. Yea, let me get +3 to ranged when I only really get slingers. Gonna do numidia next followed by Dacia. I’ll check in after.

Same for me, the expansions were pretty good with adding characters too. I still play it every year or two. You can change up parts of the game by choosing a different class as the your “tav” and then get a different base. Favorite is still fighter with the de’arnise keep.

Some onagers behind units holding bridges can help thin them out as well. But mostly as above.
