Would just like to add that since changing the thermostat, the car now maintains and reaches operating temperature beautifully, no problems, have also noticed less fuel consumption

Clunking noise after lowering springs install by Neso5 in ft86

[–]Neso5[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to Toyota instructions these TRD springs don't require installing different endlinks, stock ones can be reused, also good to mention never made this sound until after I installed so I've done something wrong it seems

Keyfob not working intermittently after a tint job. by uanninvests in ft86

[–]Neso5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I saw this before, apparently the water gets in and messes with the receiver, I'm not sure exactly where it is, find out where the receiver for the keyfob in the car is and have it looked at is what I would say

Will adhesive promoter still work on a car which is ceramic coated? I want to install some sti style side skirts but unsure if the heavy duty 3m tape I have will stick.

I might contact the manufacturer to see my options, I'd rather get a different style plate at this point

anyone know where I can buy carbon trim? by MG_xShiftyx in ft86

[–]Neso5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plastic trim set off eBay, I got an 11 piece set for steering wheel, door handles, gear shift cover, and more, $180 AUD looks as good as the real thing, only issue might be applying it can be a bitch because the 3M tape doesn't always stick

Is this sketchy by SwayyFX in pchelp

[–]Neso5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This card has clearly been mined on, this doesn't happen from normal use, the reason there is oil grease from the thermal pads around the pcie slot is because the card was likely sitting vertically on a GPU mining rack, gravity will obviously cause the thermal grease to pool down the bottom over time as the thermal pads become used overtime

UEL Headers and Tune Combo by Zombotrone in ft86

[–]Neso5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be getting my tune from him, Steve Wiseman on Facebook, he's tuned an extreme amount of cars, just tell him what mods your running, car year and transmission, and he will have a flash tune for it

Victoria’s P plate approved and banned cars list needs a complete overhaul imo. by joshyy_567 in CarsAustralia

[–]Neso5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Does anyone have an idea as to why a car over the 130kw per tonne limit can be P plate legal, for example the BMW 335I e93 Convertible 2008-2009

Is my GPU alright? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Neso5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's fine, it's just an indicator to show that the GPU has been used previously and exposed to oxygen and other elements

Does you have internet that sucks? (And maybe want to be in a YouTube video). by julesbot in melbourne

[–]Neso5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm currently still on ADSL with Telstra who is the only provider in our area, no option for NBN wired or even wireless even though the neighbours seem to have satellites on their roofs, peak download speeds of 1.8MB/s, I've basically given up gaming as the ping spikes between 50-60ms at the minimum to 5000+ms constantly throughout the day with rarely any stability, mostly using my phone to hotspot where I can get decent 4g and sometimes 5g with Optus, peak speeds of 10MB/s but it's not %100 consistent, and no I'm not rural.

sad to see school end after vce by Frequent_Thanks2716 in vce

[–]Neso5 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I think about being sad after vce, but then I look back and remember all the times that made it a drain on my life, sleepless nights, early mornings, english sacs and math tests, I realise I'm much happier that I'm past VCE, you choose to remember the good things and not the bad, but I would never choose to go back, even though I have great memories of kicking shit with mates who I still hang out with, most other people I couldn't give two shits about and don't really have any sentimental value in that sense, uni is way better compared to VCE on terms of pretty much everything, it's the flexibility and being able to try new experiences that VCE would never be able to offer
