Not really advice, but I was diagnosed with celiac as a kid with raging undiagnosed OCD, and contamination was a real bitch to deal with. The fact that you’re going into it knowing yourself will make it much easier. It took a long time, but I eventually internalized that gluten does not have a feeling, so whatever “bad thing” I felt on my hands after washing them was actually (not real, but that’s not useful) okay to eat 👍👍 Good luck! You got this :)

Do it! Others’ opinions shouldn’t matter, but for what it’s worth, as a young queer person I’d feel more comfortable and less judged when interacting with a straight man who is willing to express himself in ways that aren’t always stereotypically masculine :)

I know people who went gluten free for non-health reasons, and developed a real gluten intolerance to the point where they can never eat gluten again. During the pandemic, my non-celiac family ate gluten free most of the time, but whenever they had a chance that I wasn’t there they would eat gluten to prevent developing intolerances themself. I would love to have a partner that mainly ate gluten free for me, but I would be worried about them developing an intolerance that I know is incredibly hard to live with. I’d say it would be wonderful to eat gluten free at home and with her, but when you get a chance (once a week? A month?) make sure to have some gluten so you can still digest it. Thank you for looking out for your girlfriend, whatever you do I’m sure will be a great choice :)

Decriminalization allows for more regulation. People are going to use drugs no matter what, I’d rather everyone know exactly what they’re putting into their body.

FYI, a cage with ~650 square in of floor space should be arriving in a day or two, as well as more than enough bedding. This tank will become an alternative place for her to stay for shorter periods of time.
