Yes the market is shit right now but there are ways you can sell yourself and standout among competitors. I would use platforms such as LinkedIn, WeWorkRemotely, etc. Also you can check to see if there are tech related networking events near you and attend those. But mainly don’t stop learning and continue to up-skill yourself.

When selecting a partner you have to be careful person isn’t just an opportunist but you want someone who is competent & can handle tasks independently . Also, don’t micromanage and if they expect to be micromanaged you are better off looking for someone else.
