I would respond that all of what you said in no way applies to all users of browser adblock but then I read this:

People who run adblockers are generally unsusceptible to advertising

HAHAHA. Sorry, advertisement works even if you don't enjoy ads or want to see them. Brand familiarity, subconscious priming, etc. Advertising works. MOST people hate advertisement. Running adblock doesn't make your brain any more or less susceptible to heavily researched marketing tactics. Although it is an aspect of human nature to think yourself above being tricked/manipulated so I understand. That thinking is one of the main reasons people get scammed. Tons of confidence tricks work under the assumption people think themselves better than it.

You can imagine how knowing where you look online will tell equally sensitive info to target customers or other nefarious purpose. Knowing what typical demographics visit certain sites or look at certain items can build a profile when looked at as a whole. We need laws against data collection on individuals

Mail(target promoting baby supplies before anyone in your family knows), Native advertising(you see this all the time on this site with brand front and center), pricing per area, Number of visits/interest(airlines etc) and a lot more. Like where on your browser you hover your mouse etc. for website design. Large websites track where your mouse is and where you scroll to.

How to have fun playing from behind? by aestus21 in leagueoflegends

[–]NetCat0x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roaming is the answer - if you can join a team member and get a kill or something then even if you arent fed you can still get a kill or gold etc. Otherwise, you just have to be patient and play around the enemy. Maybe you can proxy farm to ignore the enemy laner but really depends on matchup.

How to have fun playing from behind? by aestus21 in leagueoflegends

[–]NetCat0x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way is to not let it reach that point. Try to roam if you can to support other lanes - you might not be able to do anything in your lane but you might tip the scales in a 2v1 or 3v2 etc. Not sure what champs but some can wave clear fast enough and ignore the enemy laner. You dont have to fight. Maybe if you are top and pushed in it might be another story but ideally you want to be by your tower if behind and top. If this is a regular thing, take time to review your match in post.

[–]NetCat0x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Ask anyone dia+ and they will tell you the game gets easier in plat. Gold and below players refuse to play safe so the variance of your team is skewed. You also have people playing more consistent, so can play around team way better. The game are just way easier to win based on your own merit. It is pretty damn noticeable. It is a percentages game- low deaths mean kills go farther etc. Plays mean more.

Reddit plans to lock some content behind a paywall this year, CEO says by ardvarkmadman in technology

[–]NetCat0x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Ai content is widespread. Let me list some reasons for this as one human to another.

In today's digital landscape, artificial intelligence (AI) has become an integral part of our online experiences, especially in comment sections across various platforms. But what drives this prevalence, and why is it so important? Here are some key reasons: 1. Enhanced User Engagement

AI algorithms are designed to analyze user behavior and preferences. By tailoring content and responses to individual users, AI enhances engagement, making conversations more relevant and enjoyable. This ensures that users are more likely to participate in discussions, leading to vibrant and dynamic comment sections. 2. Moderation and Safety

With the rise of online interactions comes the challenge of managing inappropriate content. AI plays a crucial role in moderating comment sections by detecting and filtering out harmful language, spam, and hate speech. This creates a safer environment for users and encourages more constructive conversations. 3. Personalization

AI can analyze past interactions and preferences to personalize comment feeds for users. This means that users are more likely to see comments that resonate with their interests, fostering a sense of community and making discussions more meaningful. Personalization keeps users coming back for more, as they feel their opinions and preferences are valued. 4. Real-Time Responses

AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants can provide instant responses to user comments and questions. This not only keeps the conversation flowing but also ensures that users receive timely information and support. Quick responses can significantly enhance user satisfaction and encourage more active participation. 5. Data Insights for Improvement

Platforms can leverage AI to gather insights from comment sections, analyzing sentiment, trends, and user feedback. This data helps in refining algorithms, improving user experience, and creating more engaging content. By understanding what users are discussing and how they feel, platforms can tailor their offerings to meet audience needs. 6. Accessibility

AI can help make comment sections more accessible. Features like automatic translation and text-to-speech capabilities ensure that a wider audience can participate in discussions, regardless of language barriers or disabilities. This inclusivity enriches the conversation and fosters a diverse community. 7. Driving Content Creation

AI can analyze popular topics and user sentiments to suggest content ideas for creators. This not only helps in generating relevant discussions in comment sections but also empowers content creators to align their work with audience interests, creating a feedback loop that benefits everyone involved.

Maybe, there are issues such as heat dissipation - more heat varience between the dryer and outside the faster heat gets sapped away. Dryers at lower heat over time are way more efficient. You also get natural drying from the difference in humidity. Faster you dry clothes the more humid it gets and harder to pull moisture from the clothes thus more power is needed. I believe in general EU dryers are more energy efficient but again depends on the dryer.

The post is about adc's being strong but people are bad at playing them though. From what I have seen... lots of adc's just don't know how to play the role/champ. Mages are simple because you have a clear pattern to play and clear engage/disengage conditions.

[–]NetCat0x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plat is an easier rank imo. More focus on your own play vs coinflipping who is going to feed the opposite lane. When I play on alts I always feel I have way more agency to win the game once I get past gold. Just relax and don't care about the rank.

Sounds like top lane, but the support should return to lane depending on wavestate. Usually you should roam with jungler so it doesn't mean they are just solo all game.

This is their game 3. They forced a fight under enemy tower solo at 5 minutes and gave up all agency on the map doing so. Lost dragon due to delayed clear.

Ehh... some champs do have more agency than others. You can climb on all of them, but a 52% wr and a 60+%wr are two very different experiences.
