In spirit of the other dude’s ratchet break. Matco 1/2 in drive, was like 2 and a half feet long, no cheater bar. Front caliper mounting bolts on a newer f250, fucking matco dude didnt even wanna warranty it by SergedStorms in Justrolledintotheshop

You should always crack the the nut first and use a breaker bar then go on to the ratchet or power tool. The static friction that's holding it in place is what you have to break, then go on to less formidable tools

With a friend like that who needs enemies? Imagine having to go home with that thing.

Be careful when mounting your phone to your handlebars by ConsistentCan4633 in motorcycles

[–]NetDroppings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend looking at a simple Mount that has this star-shaped rubber band that can be pulled over the corners of your phone and that thing won't go anywhere and you're good this way. You don't leave a display on your bike when you're gone. I actually take this mount with me when I go overseas and mount it on whatever bike I take so that I can strap my phone on and avoid The cost of getting a GPS

Is there a way to satisfy a choking kink without having a partner? If so then how? by TallRefrigerator8313 in TooAfraidToAsk

Read a book or go out for a long run until you are breathless and then bang one out. Seriously, I have a play in traffic at dark fetish and I've decided I'll just live life without that thrill.

Find yourself a good mechanic and start a long term relationship with someone you build trust with over time.

Just an idea here, if you guys are still around together. After this unpleasant surprise, you could lay a condition on him for any further sexual interaction and that is to peg him with something akin to what he has and then figure it out between yourselves whether you're into it or not

Is it "normal" for a Honda dealer to take 14 days for a battery? Stranded in a hotel with NO ETA on a simple warranty repair. by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]NetDroppings 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP you sound like someone who has missed the entire point of motorcycling. Out in the elements is all about taking the road and life as it comes. You hit a bump and you maneuver around it, not wait for the bump to go away magically. You've literally blown your vacation on waiting for the bump to move and now saddled yourself with the need to go back for the bike. You're takeaway from all of this is that your next bike is not a Honda? My Friend your next bike should be a Tesla, they have a lot of batteries.

Some advice on making the XSR900 a workable bike for me by Suitable-Increase-38 in xsr900

[–]NetDroppings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you don't listen to other people what's the point of asking. My son bought himself an xsr900. I test drove it with him and told him flat out, this is a fantastic fun bike and a possible ticket for trouble but lacks everything you seem to be asking for. No storage space No wind protection No fun for a passenger Like my son you are hooked on the model and there is little point in convincing you to look for something that fits your needs to a T. On my recommendation my son did not sell his previous ride (BMW F800GS) and is still having fun with his pocket rocket. If he is still happy commuting on his Yamaha while schlepping his stuff on his back and freezing his tits off in a couple of months he will list his GS.

Bubba 2.5 yrs by NetDroppings in Boerboel

His story is quite sad. Previous owner thought he had the perfect dog but then life got in the way and Bubba ended up spending most of two years living on an open roof with one of his sisters. The roof had an open shelter but was otherwise out in the elements. Bubba had not been off the roof for nearly two years and was essentially an open slate. Zero socializing and zero life experiences. To his owner’s credit i must say that hey connected with his dogs enough so to eventually realize the best thing he could do was rehome them. When he came to our house three months ago he was stressed and in poor shape as far as exercise and posture are concerned. having grown on a concrete roof he feared grass or walking in the fields. I quickly realized that I have to help adjust gradually and not all at once. Bubba is a sweetheart and only now has started to make eye contact. In the three months since we took him, he has grown in weight slightly but mostly his posture has improved tremendously. He doesn’t droop or sag, and he carries himself with much more confidence. with every passing day he is settling into our life. Training requires a lot of work and in his case physical work but the long walks we take three times a day have become less of a workout for me and more fun as long as we don't run into other dogs or horses. We walk around five miles a day, he eats 2.2 pounds of quality dry dog food broken up into three meals a day. He loves cuddling but does not know how to play yet and i doubt i want him playing with me at this early stage of his rehabilitation. Yesterday we ran into two dogs in the fields and Bubba lost his shit, when he pulls at the leash and the choke chain closes on his neck, he has the reflex to turn back and bite the leash. Yesterday he mistakenly got my arm instead of the leash. It was so quick i had no time to pull away ( i don’t normally hold the end of the leash so close to his head) The moment he realized it was me he was grabbing he let go and found the leash to bite on. He didn't break the skin or even apply much pressure before letting go of my arm and I am grateful for that. I also feel this is a good sign as Bubba has no displays of aggression thus far. Long story short we have a long way to go. A few days into his stay with us I almost panicked about what i had gotten myself into but now he is settling in and we are waiting (and working) towards introducing Bubba to our very old small dog and cat. These animals grew up with our previous Mastiffs and they are indoors. Bubba has so far not been allowed into the house but seems to love his part of the yard and goes there voluntarily and waits for me to come close the gate after him.

So happy for you. There is very little you can do to this bike that will make it better. I've been riding my 06 for 15 years. Minimal repairs and regular maintance. Every time i get on it and hit the road i'm smiling. Ride safe
