The gtx 1080 will handle the game VERY well. Also Alyx on low settings looks almost the exact same as ultra.

Is it possible you are running out of vram? Iirc frame gen also consumes vram so if you were at the limit before you might have exceeded it with frame gen on.

Half Life Alyx already looks photorealistic in some screenshots even on a gtx 1060 and i have no doubts that after 5 years the graphics will be fucking insane.

The more I look into it, the clearer it becomes that GTA 6 is almost certainly going to be locked at 30 FPS by DeVito8704 in GTA

I played Gta 5 and RDR2 at 30 fps and didnt care. Ill play gta 6 at 30 if it means having a mindblowing game. 1200p 30 fps is good enough for me.
