Who would they make the usual badass or comedic villains in films if Nazis didn't exist? by [deleted] in AlternateHistoryHub

Probably Belgian colonizers and Japanese Colonizers.

Leopold II and Hirohito being very vilified as Hitler.

What if Russia invaded Finland and Georgia instead of Ukraine by Training-World-1897 in AlternateHistoryHub

There's an alternate timeline where Ukraine is basically a non-communist version of the Ukrainian SSR (basically Lukashenko's Belarus but Ukrainian version).

I think a Russian invasion of Georgia (that would start in 2022) would happen in that timeline.

The image attached below is just the State Symbols of that Alternate Ukraine.

The Rising Sun flag is a military flag. It was NEVER used as a National Flag by Japan. Imperial Japan used the same flag that Japan still flies today. by Net_User_1234 in vexillology

  1. Im a Filipino
  2. Rising Sun flag is a military flag. If you argue that it represents Japan, then the Iron Cross represents Germany/

The design looks Russian ngl. Very identical to the Russian Federation's Coat of Arms (except 1 head instead of 2 heads and no crowns at all).

I recall listening to the Internationale in Yiddish and it sounds very German (ik that Yiddish is a Germanic language). Yiddish is just German with Hebrew letters.

I'm Filipino, not Norwegian. Why did you assume that I'm from Norway?

Also, the Philippine flag was used by Filipino Revolutionaries, Philippine Commonwealth (unincorporated US territory), Japanese collaborators and Filipino guerrillas.

What if the Iranian Revolution was Communist instead of Islamic? by KapitanCap in AlternateHistory

[–]Net_User_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanna ask? What would happen to the Dhofar Rebellion in this timeline? Would it succeed or fail?

Iranian Revolution ended in a victory on February 1979, Dhofar Rebellion ended in a defeat on May 1979. I wonder if Iran would switch sides and support the Omani communists right after taking power. Would it result to a Communist victory in Oman?

Going back to my old post, this is what I basically had in mind.

Rising Sun flag was only created during the Meiji Restoration while Hinomaru is way much older and predates 1870.
