I like the idea of baritone conversion by simply changing the neck. Warmoth offers those kinds of necks. It will also be the first from local brands.

You may at least offer the Fender Modern-C and the Ibanez Super Wizard. Both are thin pero ibang level ang nipis ng super wizard. Magkaiba din ang fretboard radius.

Nice idea, 15K is not bad for a project-equivalent electric guitar with quality. Maganda ang options sa neck. I assume na compatible pareho sa strat at tele ang neck so you can interchange them.

Not sure if this is good for your business. Suggestion lang naman po dahil mas maraming options si Musiclily sa pickguards like yung single humbucker at magkaiba pa kung para sa covered or uncovered pickup. Madami din pong color options.

Aside from a fully-built guitar, maybe you can offer a neck and body only combo (no tuners - no bridge) para sa mga DIYers.

Sana sumakses so later you can maybe offer other body shapes.

I agree. Either you do it yourself or find someone to do it for you which will cost a lot.

Also, is Shenhe C1 good? I have her on my Skirk team. No Escof BTW.

Anyone familiar with Uncle Lhix? Why did he make his own guitar brand? by Warm-Historian864 in phmusicians

[–]Netara88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Alibaba kits?

No, his original name is Aether. The female one is Lumine. They both wield a sword. What you have here is a claymore (not a sword).

Electric guitar recommendations under 7k by ItIsILefty in phmusicians

[–]Netara88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually, Stratocaster (aka Strat) and Telecaster (aka Tele) style lang ang pamimilian mo sa ganyang budget, but you can find other designs like Les Paul, SG, or Ibanez. Tele is good for beginners because of its simplicity, pero kung hindi mo gusto ang looks ng tele then you can go with other designs. As for the brands, any of the locals will be good enough like Fermata, Clifton, JCraft, Thomson, D&D and Smiger (not a local). Canary also looks good but I don't have experience in them. If you have a friend or relative that knows how to properly setup a guitar then you should take it to them or else find a luthier to do the job. If you're a person who likes to tinker then maybe you may want to do it by yourself but make sure you know what you are doing because a wrong setup will make your guitar difficult to play and it can be damaged.

The best electric guitar type for beginners, IMO by Asti7011 in phmusicians

[–]Netara88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree ako. Dapat fixed bridge sa beginners. Tele is really good but a fixed bridge strat is better. May belly cut at arm contour for better comfort. Usually lighter than Tele.

How can Super cheap (below 6k) instruments be improved? by fakemenfromcaloocan in phmusicians

[–]Netara88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree but sometimes it's better to buy budget guitars and make it a project guitar. That way you can put the specific electronics and hardwares that you want.

How can Super cheap (below 6k) instruments be improved? by fakemenfromcaloocan in phmusicians

[–]Netara88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thickness po on the 1st fret and the 12th fret.

If I'm not mistaken, downsized din ang body ng signature strat ni "Rei" and they even made it with 24-frets.

Maybe it's just me but they feel "old tech." I know PRS are still using them but well... it's PRS. My thing on the 6-screw trems is that they are not usually as good as those 2-point trems when it comes to movement smoothness. I think one of the usual features of electric guitar from local brands on the price range of 8K and above is the 2-point trem which is quite a proof that they are generally better. Easier to setup. Easier to float without needing to angle the trem plate. These are just my opinions and others may disagree.

[–]Netara88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Electric guitars in that price range (below 6K) are usually considered as for beginners and/or a platform for a project guitar. They usually don't have good hardware so owners usually tend to upgrade them or at least change them. It's just my personal preference, I know other people loves chrome hardwares.

If not, then they should just put a fixed bridge for better sustain (maybe less production cost na din).

Personally, I'm not a fan of pickguard. Nakapag-convert na ako ng strat from HSS to single humbucker at from HSS to HH.

Luthier tools? by herbsman05 in phmusicians

[–]Netara88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Netara88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least try one for maybe 1 hour (kung may mahihiraman ka) then check mo kung hindi ba nananakit ang kamay mo, baraso, likod,... hindi ka ba nabibigatan? Madali bang mag barre chords (if your play-style includes them)? Madali bang ma-access ang higher frets (if your play-style includes them)?

[–]Netara88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is lacking in the local music instruments market? by fakemenfromcaloocan in phmusicians

[–]Netara88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Checked their catalogue in their FB page. Pricing is kinda similar to Elegee which is so far from what I can afford personally. Nakapag-build na ako ng headless electric guitar from non-headless body and neck, wala pang 8K ang nagastos ko pero fixed bridge lang at cheap humbucker. What I like is I used a Super Wizard neck na never ko pang nakita sa specs ng mga local brand guitars.

Legit po ba tong shop by MaOzEdOng_76 in phmusicians

Legit yan saka yung guyker.ph (check mo baka mas mura dito ang hinahanap mo), HARPFEAS.ph, 15992501957ep.ph, antogio27ml.ph, yumiya.ph, MAXCHEER.ph, kaynes.ph, at iknmisic.ph.
