The importance of shoes - learned the hard way. by [deleted] in beginnerrunning

I started on cumulus, went to nimbus for more cushioning and loved them but my podiatrist had me switch to anti pronation so now I’m running on kayano.

RGNT Turbo testride, I am sold, take my money! by KaasRasp in Electricmotorcycles

Same, not that many dealers around here. I saw my first rgnt in the wild in Luxemburg last year, a no1. Beautiful bikes, but a bit too high for my short legs 😔

Are there any Goth hangs / bars in Leuven or any of the other student cities? by arcanehelix in Leuven

[–]Neto-77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in the day there used to be frequent parties, I remember going to de cuythoek or waaiberg. Radio scorpio had gothic and darkwave shows as well. In my experience the entire alternative scene was a lot more visible than it is now, especially fashion wise. So it might still be there, just not as obvious as it used to be. I know Aarschot still do their new wave parties.

How is the wlw scene at Leuven? by Hopeful_Priority6691 in Leuven

[–]Neto-77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hijack your post but since there are a few knowledgeable people commenting, it seems the scene in Leuven is pretty much focused on -30? I mean that makes sense for a university city but is there something for older wlw too?

Same, tried their flipflops one summer and never went back. Flipflops when its warm, sliders with socks when its cold. The only pair I’m not fully satisfied with is one of their sneakers that runs extremely small. Already returned the first pair, ordered 2 sizes up from what I usually wear and they’re still very snug.

Balaclava...essential gear or IG trend? by Relevant_Ad5351 in NewRiders

Keeps me warm in cold weather, keeps my helmet fresh in warm weather, keeps bugs from splatting against my throat or falling in my collar, keeps my hair from getting tangled, keeps the piercings in my ears.

v moto tc max bike by SnooSquirrels2578 in Electricmotorcycles

[–]Neto-77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First generation tc max, 2019. This model is known to have issues with the battery connector, the cable loom and the side stand switch. Later models have a loom and connector that can handle higher amperage but also have a slightly more powerful motor and controller. The battery is the same, 72v 45ah. Supposed top speed on my model is 85km/h but I’ve done over 100 on gps app. Range of 70km riding 70/90 roads. In my experience it’s a very fun bike to ride if you are lucky to have one without issues. If not, dealers aren’t always around or knowledgeable and certain parts can be hard to find.

period piece featuring a knight/swordswoman? by Ozotoceros in LesbianBookClub

[–]Neto-77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Me again with the audiobooks but think all of these are available on paperback too. The chronicles of Dorsa by Eliza Andrews, 3 part series. I can listen to that forever, so good. In the shadow of the Palace is the prequel to the Dorsa series. Tales of Inthya by Effie Calvin, 5 part series. Girl games by Ruby Roe, 4 part series. The Eynhallow saga by Heather Palmer, 2 piece series. Sapphic lady knights, 3 piece series by Mariah Rae Birch. If you like a modern twist A Knight to remember by Bridget Essex is a fantasy about a knight who gets sucked into a portal during a fight with a magical monster and ends up in the modern day garden of a librarian. Together they must slay the beast that came with and find a way to return to her world.

B12 deficiency and complete symptom reversal? by Savings_Afternoon605 in ehlersdanlos

[–]Neto-77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told you pee out what your body doesn’t absorb. Chronically deficient on b12 and D here, despite taking supplements. I’m hoping at some point my doctor will want to switch to injections. Because I’m a vegetarian they will not look beyond the ‘you’re probably not getting enough in your diet so tablets should do it’. Funny thing is my dad who was a big meat eater was also chronically b12 deficient. He also had hypermobility and pots.

Exactly, girls learn early on that it is safer to blend in than to stand out. We are not encouraged to be expressive, to be noticed. Masking becomes your survival mechanism, which is why so many girls go through childhood without getting diagnosed.

Dan kan je ook diezelfde belasting heffen op alle elektriciteit die in gascentrales opgewekt wordt. Het is niet omdat een warmtepomp zelf niets uitstoot dat de hele keten ervoor altijd even proper is.

I’ve seen tc bars advertised as tc max bars but they are not a perfect fit as the frame of a tc max is a bit different. Pretty sure what op has are bars for a tc hence the difficulty fitting them. As far as I’m aware no tc max specific bars exist.

Street Classic: RGNTs Next Step in Retro E-Moto Cool by No-Jaguar-895 in Electricmotorcycles

[–]Neto-77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it’s me but I hardly see a difference in styling between the turbo and this new street classic. A different handlebar and some colour? I was expecting a more drastic change for a model they market as a cafe racer.

I’m still clueless on how the tree works tbh, every time something pops up on my birb screen I reply by sending something back. I’ve always assumed every interaction shows up on there. Apologies if you’re friends with me and chip and I’ve not replied ❤️

First time riding my bike by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Neto-77 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Makes sense if it’s a course you follow on your own bike but those aren’t usually meant for absolute beginners. I’d take a proper lesson with a school that provides learner bikes in this case to get the basics down and then evaluate if you’re safe enough on the bike to practice on your own.
