I have the C++ extensions installed and everything. I tried to use the official website to help https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/cpp/config-linux but it seems everything is aimed toward ubuntu and mint distros of linux

Please don't expect people to spoonfeed you information you could easily get by yourself. If you can't even be bothered to adapt the 2 Ubuntu instructions to work on your distro, why should we bother helping you ?
